Online users expressed their disapproval with comments like “Why would you choose to share this on Liberation Day?”, “That was inconsiderate”, “He didn’t give it enough thought”, and “It would be best to remain silent.”

On August 15th, the 79th anniversary of Liberation Day will be commemorated, a significant day that marks Korea’s independence from Japanese rule and the establishment of the Republic of Korea’s government, which carries on the legacy of the provisional government. Well-known figures such as singers Kang Seung-yoon, Jun Hyo-seong, Sean, and actors Song Hye-kyo and Lee Young-ae have been leading the celebrations, making Felix’s actions even more heavily scrutinized.
