Streamers Condemn Dr Disrespect After He Admits Messaging Minor

Streamers across various social media platforms are expressing their responses following Dr Disrespect’s confession that he was permanently banned from Twitch in 2020 for communicating with an underage user on the platform.

The news of Dr Disrespect, also known as Guy Beahm, messaging a minor in 2017 has quickly spread across the internet. According to Dr Disrespect, this action ultimately resulted in his permanent ban from Twitch.

Despite Beahm’s claim that the messages were simply “casual, mutual conversations”and “nothing more,”many of his fellow streamers are not supporting him four years after his suspension. The revelation of these messages has caused division among his peers.

One significant event was when Kai Cenat decided to unfollow Dr Disrespect while he was live streaming. This action was in response to the streamer’s extensive statement where he explained his perspective on the situation.

Ninja also weighed in on the situation, speculating that a significant event must have occurred for the Doc’s own game studio to sever ties with him.

Additionally, numerous other content creators have shared their opinions on the matter. One of them, QTCinderella, a popular streamer on Twitch, responded to Beahm’s criticism of her event, the Streamer Awards, with a harsh quote-retweet.

“The Doc wrote back in 2022 about the idea of creating a fake awards show to falsely credit your best friends for something they have no chance of competing in.”

QT fired back, “Just imagine flirting with a minor.”

On the other hand, British YouTuber KSI expresses that the situation is causing him feelings of sadness.

“It saddens me greatly that one of my inspirations would engage in inappropriate conversations with a minor. Considering that you have a wife and kids, please strive to do better,”he expressed.

Upon receiving the news, popular YouTube streamer Valkyrae responded with a succinct tweet: “Dr Disgusting.”

TimTheTatMan, a close friend of Beahm, shared his thoughts on the situation in a video, describing it as “completely insane.”

“Witnessing the current chaos is a challenging experience for me,”he stated. “My ultimate stance is this: if the individual in question knew they were communicating with a minor and the messages were borderline inappropriate, I cannot condone such actions.”

MoistCritikal, a popular YouTuber, also denounced Dr Disrespect, drawing parallels between his justification for the messages and the tactics used by the suspects on the well-known TV series ‘To Catch a Predator’ hosted by Chris Hansen.

“Wow, that’s truly startling,”he typed. “Acknowledging that he sent inappropriate messages to a minor but claiming there was no real intention is almost exactly what people used to say to Chris Hansen.”

In addition, NICKMERCS released a video in response to the incident, denouncing it as “inexcusable”and “unacceptable.”

“He stated firmly that there is no justification for such behavior and that he cannot offer his support or defend it.”

The streaming community has been shocked and disgusted by the recent revelations surrounding Dr Disrespect’s situation. However, the Doc has stated that he intends to resume streaming despite the backlash against him.
