The popular Fishing anime “Negative Positive Angler”has been officially announced to receive an anime adaptation by Studio NUT. On 30 July 2024, all the key information, including a teaser PV, was released on the official anime website and KadokawaAnime YouTube channel.
This heartwarming anime, which is an original work by Kadokawa Creation, is set to premiere in October 2024. It tells an inspiring tale of finding hope in the midst of darkness that is sure to touch the hearts of viewers.

The KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel has recently shared a calming teaser for their upcoming anime. The PV showcases Tsunehiro Sasaki indulging in recreational fishing, drawing inspiration from Japan’s stunning landscapes. As the PV progresses, Sasaki’s friends also join him in this new hobby.

Plot of the Anime
The melancholic tale follows the journey of Tsunehiro Sasaki, a college student who receives the devastating news from his doctor that he has only two years left to live. Consumed by sadness, he spends his days in despair until he is unexpectedly pursued by his debt collectors. In a moment of haste, Tsunehiro falls into the ocean but is rescued by Hana, Takaaki, and his fellow fishermen.
Upon Hana’s encouragement, Tsunehiro begins to fish and, as a result, strengthens his bond with his fellow fishermen. He eventually joins Hana and Takaaki at the convenience store where they work and discovers the true pleasure of fishing.

Despite being a university student, Tsunehiro Sasaki has been diagnosed with an incurable disease and given a few years to live by his doctor. Feeling despondent, he simply tries to make it through his remaining time until a group of fishermen save him from a fall into the sea. After their persistent encouragement, he takes up a new hobby and finds a renewed sense of hope.
