Studio Pierrot’s Portrayal of Sakura and Sasuke’s Relationship as a Joke in Boruto

The Boruto series has had its fair share of missteps during its early years, leaving many fans disappointed and making it somewhat of a joke within the anime community. While Naruto transformed from an outcast to the esteemed Hokage, his son Boruto was portrayed as a talented yet rebellious child who often disregarded his father’s teachings.

However, fans have since revisited the series and unearthed a particular aspect of the anime that gained significant attention. In one of the earlier episodes, there is an intricate frame featuring photographs of people close to Sakura.

This frame includes pictures of Sakura, Sarada Uchiha, and Sasuke Uchiha. While fans initially embraced this nostalgia, one detail stood out that netizens found particularly amusing regarding the arrangement of the photos.

Boruto: Why Fans Found Sasuke and Sakura’s Family Photo Amusing

Family photos have long been a cherished tradition across cultures, serving as a way to document and preserve cherished memories. Hence, it wasn’t surprising to see this sentiment reflected in the Boruto series.

Typically, family pictures feature a single shot where all members are gathered together. However, this wasn’t the case with the Uchiha family photo depicted in the sequel series.

Instead, fans observed it was a collage made up of individual photographs. Although it was well known that Sasuke was often away from his family due to his secretive missions, it was humorously noted that he and Sakura had never managed to take a proper family photo together all those years. Most netizens empathized with Sakura’s situation and shared a laugh at the collage’s uniqueness.

The amusement didn’t stop there; it stemmed from Studio Pierrot‘s choice of the photo used for Sasuke. The collage included four pictures in total: two of Sarada, one of Sakura, and one of Sasuke. Fans found it hilarious that Sasuke was depicted in his Akatsuki cloak within the family photo.

Fans found it particularly amusing that Studio Pierrot chose a photograph of Sasuke during a time when he was labeled a fugitive due to his acts of terrorism, having committed numerous crimes and joined the notorious Akatsuki organization. Notably, he wore their uniform in the family photo.

Given the limited time frame in which to present Sasuke’s image, many felt that Studio Pierrot could have selected a less controversial picture. Yet, they opted for one capturing a moment when he was categorized as an enemy of Konohagakure. This oversight sparked laughter among the fanbase over the unconventional family photograph.
