In episode 8 of Suicide Squad Isekai, the anime featured the squad being summoned by Queen Aldora. Despite anticipating a celebratory feast, the Queen had other intentions in mind. As the anime progressed, Amanda Waller attempted to eliminate the squad, but they were ultimately rescued by Rick Flag.
In the previous episode, Harley Quinn and her team set out to defeat the villain Thinker. Although Harley was successful in defeating him, their plan was interrupted by Katana. Despite initially appearing to have the upper hand, Katana fled the scene. Meanwhile, Queen Aldora commanded her soldiers to capture Harley and the rest of the group.
Suicide Squad Isekai Episode 8: Rick Flag Saves the Squad
Episode 8 of Suicide Squad Isekai began with a conversation among Queen Aldora’s followers, during which the queen requested a favor from Theodore. Shortly after, the squad made their way to the palace. Despite their recent triumph, they were met with disappointment as Theodore placed the blame for the Empire’s troubles on them.
Just as Harley Quinn responded to the accusations, Theodore struck him. This angered the squad, resulting in King Shark consuming Theodore and a brawl breaking out. After the altercation, Queen Aldora sentenced the squad to death. However, at Cecil’s plea, she instead banished all of them except for King Shark, who was executed.
Fione eventually apologized to the group for the incident, although Harley had reached her breaking point with Fione’s behavior and ended up ranting at her. After their failure, the squad sought solace at a nearby pub, attempting to drown their sorrows with drinks. Unfortunately, tensions rose again when a song about the squad sparked a disagreement among the members.
The following day, Rick Flag woke up the members of the squad individually to reset their bomb timers. Afterward, their mission was to rescue Nanaue. During this, Harley made sure not to disturb Arthur as she was aware that she could not bring him with her to her world. Consequently, she decided to leave him with a new friend he had made.
Upon arriving at the gate, the team had their bomb timers reset. Shortly after, Amanda Waller contacted Rick Flag for his debriefing. The squad was surprised to discover that Rick Flag had a radio transmitter in his possession, but they waited patiently for him to finish his conversation. Tragically, as soon as Rick Flag finished his report, Clay Face’s bomb detonated. With the mission deemed a failure, Waller determined that the team needed to be executed and prepared to detonate their bombs.
In that moment, Rick Flag noticed a new development and requested Waller to grant them additional time to complete their mission. In turn, Waller granted them an extra 24 hours to achieve success. The squad was taken aback by Rick Flag’s rescue. However, their shock paled in comparison to when they discovered that Clay Face was still alive and had never been required to participate in Amanda Waller’s mission.
The eighth episode of Suicide Squad Isekai unveiled a flashback from two hours prior, in which Fione pleaded with her mother to call off King Shark’s execution. It was during this encounter that she discovered her mother appeared to be under the control of an unknown entity.
