Summit1g shares thoughts on Deadlock

Twitch streamer summit1g was straightforward in expressing his opinion about Valve’s upcoming game, Deadlock, stating that it could potentially be inferior to Overwatch.

Valve’s upcoming game, Deadlock, has been creating a lot of excitement. This action-packed game combines elements of hero shooters, MOBAs, and third-person shooters, all presented in a distinctive aesthetic inspired by BioShock Infinite.

Despite being in its early stages, it managed to attract over 10,000 simultaneous players during testing. In fact, some people claim that it has the potential to rival popular games such as Overwatch and Dota 2 in terms of popularity and success.

However, there are those who are not as enthusiastic about the Deadlock craze. This is where summit1g, a popular CS and Escape from Tarkov streamer and former esports professional, shares his less optimistic viewpoint on Valve’s upcoming shooter.

During a recent stream, summit1g expressed his strong dislike for Deadlock through both his words and intense grunting. He even went as far as to say, “I actually hate this game… it just makes me want to play SMITE.”Just like Deadlock, SMITE is a third-person multiplayer online battle arena.

Furthermore, he went on to say, “It’s even worse than Overwatch for me.”This statement holds a lot of weight for those familiar with summit1g, as he has never been one to hide his strong aversion towards Overwatch, as seen in this clip.

Despite the overall positive reception of Deadlock, summit1g’s harsh criticism stands out. This is in stark contrast to the overwhelming praise that the game has received from other streamers and players.

As the release of Deadlock approaches, the game is currently only accessible to a select few who have received invites. Prominent streamer Shroud has expressed excitement for the game, stating that it has the potential to “take over the world.”However, summit1g seems to have a different opinion, as he believes Deadlock will not be successful.
