Super Junior Eunhyuk on Intense Argument with Leeteuk: ‘I Thought He Was Joking…’

During their time in Bangkok, Thailand, EunHyuk from the K-pop boy group Super Junior recently looked back on a significant disagreement he had with the group’s leader, LeeTeuk.

EunHyuk was featured as a special guest on the YouTube show ‘Musinsa Life,’ hosted by JULIE from the girl group KISS OF LIFE. During the show, he openly discussed the complexities and difficulties of being a member of a large group.

During their discussion, EunHyuk revealed the common disputes that occurred among the Super Junior members.

“We used to argue a lot,”EunHyuk shared candidly. “We all grew up differently, so naturally, there were times when we didn’t see eye to eye,”he emphasized. “We really had our fair share of disagreements.”

Smiling at the recollection, EunHyuk shared a specific event that occurred while they were in Bangkok, involving LeeTeuk. He chuckled as he recounted the memory:

“We were getting ready for a performance in our hotel room. It was me, LeeTeuk, ShinDong, and SungMin. LeeTeuk was struggling to pick an outfit for the performance, and we were teasing him like, ‘Try this one. No, that doesn’t suit you at all. How about that one? Nah, that looks too old-fashioned.’”

Describing the escalation, EunHyuk continued, “Suddenly, LeeTeuk snapped, shouting, ‘That’s enough! Stop it!’ He could be unpredictable sometimes. At first, I thought he was joking. So, I said, ‘Look, guys. He’s sulking.’ But then, LeeTeuk kicked the door open and hit me on the neck.”

Regardless of the intensity of the situation, the members were able to come to a resolution for their differences.

“After returning to Korea, ShinDong brought some fried chicken and drinks, and we met at Han River,”EunHyuk explained. “But LeeTeuk and I don’t drink. So, ShinDong ended up finishing all the drinks himself while LeeTeuk and I talked things out. It helped us patch things up.”

Despite receiving mixed reactions from fans, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk made headlines for his donation of six face sterilizers to the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters. While his generosity garnered praise from many, some raised concerns about his motives, citing his mother’s severe respiratory illness.

As a result of their departure from SM Entertainment, Eunhyuk and Donghae also founded their own agency, ODE Entertainment, where they both serve as co-CEOs and use their experience to guide and nurture up-and-coming artists.
