According to Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, he suffered the loss of both friends and a significant amount of money as a result of loans.
On July 9, a guest appearance by Heechul was posted on the YouTube channel “Studio Soojae”in the show “After Eating Breakfast 2.”
During the video, MC Jang Sung Kyu paid a visit to Kim Heechul’s house. During their time together, he expressed his astonishment at both the grandeur of Heechul’s house and the fact that they had consumed three bottles of 1.2 million won (approximately $860 USD) liquor at a gathering.
Afterwards, he proceeded to disclose the details of how “Suk Hoon had offered to purchase a single bottle, but Heechul adamantly stated, ‘I’ll cover the cost for all of them. I possess an abundance of wealth that I could never exhaust in my lifetime.’”
Kim Heechul nonchalantly replied, “Do Seo Jang Hoon and Kang Ho Dong also experience this? I definitely have an abundance of money.”
Even though he lent a significant amount of money, he never went into business. Jang Sung Kyu added that he had mentioned lending money to others because he couldn’t refuse people.
Jang Sung Kyu also shared, “My current KakaoTalk status message reads, ‘If you request to borrow money, you will be immediately blocked.’ During holidays like Chuseok, Lunar New Year, or my birthday, I often receive messages saying ‘Happy New Year’ or ‘Congratulations.’ When they add, ‘By the way, Heechul,’ I am aware it is most likely a request for money.”
Upon debuting, Kim Heechul revealed, “In the past, I would often lend money to my friends out of goodwill and loyalty, but unfortunately, I never received repayment.”
Jang Sung Kyu inquired whether the total amount that had not been returned had been calculated.
Upon being asked about the amount he had yet to receive, Kim Heechul gestured a number five with his hand and replied, “It would be approximately this much.”
Jang Sung Kyu inquired, “Is it 5 billion won?”to which Kim Heechul replied, “Yes, that’s correct. Only Shindong has repaid me.”
Kim Heechul made his debut in 2005 as an actor in the KBS 2TV youth drama “Sharp.”In the same year, he also debuted as a member of Super Junior.
