Cyberpunk 2077’s exciting new Patch 2.2, released on December 10, delivers a plethora of unexpected updates, enhancing both gameplay and visual features.
Among the notable improvements is a comprehensive overhaul of the photo mode, allowing players to capture dramatic in-game moments with greater creativity. Additionally, vehicles now feature enhanced customization options, including a variety of fresh color sprays. This latest patch not only introduces these innovative features but also addresses various lingering quest-specific bugs from both the original game and the Phantom Liberty DLC.
Introducing the Balatro Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
Upon downloading the latest update, players will discover an intriguing in-game message from a mysterious figure named Jim B. This character, whose avatar resembles a Balatro card, enlists protagonist V to pursue a “gang of rogue Jokers.”
This leads V on an exciting treasure hunt throughout Night City, where they must locate a series of Balatro-themed cards hidden within the urban landscape. A Twitter user vinal claims to be the first to discover all collectibles, with the reward being a stylish white t-shirt featuring a Balatro Joker card graphic.

This new Balatro quest is a continuation of the engaging crossover between Cyberpunk 2077 and the indie card game Balatro. Earlier in October, Balatro introduced a variety of free card skins inspired by popular video games, including Cyberpunk 2077, The Binding of Isaac, Slay the Spire, and Stardew Valley.
Moreover, a previous update in August allowed Balatro players to access cards themed after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and other notable titles. It’s evident that the beloved card game merited additional attention from CD Projekt Red, and Patch 2.2 has provided a fantastic platform for this immersive collaboration.
