Sykkuno Reveals He Was Confused for Pokimane by a Fan at TwitchCon Partner Event

YouTuber and Twitch streamer Sykkuno recently shared that during his first appearance at TwitchCon in years, he was mistaken for popular streamers iiTzTimmy and Pokimane.

Sykkuno has built a substantial following on Twitch over the years, amassing nearly 4 million followers on his channel. In 2022, he transitioned to YouTube Gaming after four years of steady streaming on Twitch. However, he made his way back to the Amazon-owned platform just two years later.

After regaining his partner status, Sykkuno attended the Partners-only party at TwitchCon San Diego, but the experience didn’t meet his expectations.

In his first stream following the event, Sykkuno disclosed that he was mistaken for two other prominent Twitch personalities—iiTzTimmy and Pokimane. He remarked, “You know what was really sad? I went to the partner party at TwitchCon… I didn’t know a single person there. I walked in… most of them didn’t know me. Some girl walked up to me and said ‘Are you iiTzTimmy?’”

He further explained that the attendee believed they resembled each other, a notion he disagreed with, stating, “He looks way cooler than me.”

But it didn’t end there; Sykkuno was also confused for another creator at TwitchCon San Diego. “One dude thought I was Pokimane,” he recalled. “My friend group used to be really popular on Twitch, and now it feels like we’re hardly known. The guy genuinely thought I was Pokimane. At first, I wasn’t sure if he was joking, but he really thought I was her.”

“I guess he didn’t know Pokimane is a girl. My friend suggested that next time this happens, I should just tell him I’m Pokimane and take a picture with him for him to tag [her] in it.”

This isn’t the first instance of mistaken identity for Sykkuno at TwitchCon. In 2022, a fan mistook Twitch star DisguisedToast for Sykkuno, prompting Toast to sign merchandise with Sykkuno’s name.
