Areum, a former member of T-ARA, has recently made an announcement about her separation from her controversial fiancé, causing fans to express their curiosity and concern.
Areum and her former partner are currently facing serious accusations, including suspicion of deceiving fans and acquaintances out of an estimated ₩40.0 million KRW (equivalent to $29,000 USD).
Despite the allegations, Areum has strongly refuted them and clarified, “It is more accurate to say that there were individuals who assisted us rather than lent us money.”
Legal and Personal Battles
Despite the ongoing allegations, T-ARA Areum remains dedicated to pursuing legal action and plans to sue those involved. In addition, she is also prioritizing personal matters such as reclaiming custody of her children.
She clarified, “I couldn’t receive help when I needed it for a ridiculous issue. I am using the money to sue those people and to get my children back.”
Hacking and Misinformation
Areum from T-ARA also responded to accusations regarding involvement in illegal gambling, maintaining her innocence and highlighting attempts of hacking.
She explained, “All the texts that my phone had sent out were from the hackers. They manipulated it the way they manipulate photos.”
In light of her ongoing divorce, ex-T-ARA member Lee Ahreum shared a cryptic message on social media, which appeared to be directed towards her former husband. Quoting Friedrich Nietzsche, she alluded to her strength in the face of personal struggles.
Ahreum’s unexpected divorce from her husband, a businessman, was publicly announced in December. Following the divorce, she has introduced a new romantic partner, highlighting a desire for a new beginning.
