T1 Faker breaks down after crushing LCK loss & slams head into a wall

After T1’s defeat against GenG, Faker was overcome with emotion and began hitting his head against a wall. His teammates had to intervene and stop him from causing harm to himself.

Despite T1’s domination of the Esports World Cup and their victory at Worlds 2023, they have consistently struggled to defeat Gen.G. Currently at the top of the LCK, T1 remains unbeaten domestically in the Summer, with no team managing to take a set off of them.

Despite initially looking promising, T1’s set against them on August 3, 2024 resulted in a loss due to Faker getting caught out multiple times. The second match was also a close one, but Gen.G capitalized on T1’s mistakes and swiftly ended the game by securing a few picks.

A video of the aftermath of the match captures Faker in a state of distress, as he repeatedly hits his head against a wall before being restrained by Gumayusi.

The hashtag #We_Stand_For_Faker quickly gained traction as the clip began to circulate, with fans expressing their unwavering support for him.

Despite this, some LCK fans took advantage of the situation to ridicule Faker, a behavior that was disapproved by numerous creators and analysts within the LoL community.

“According to League streamer Feviknight, Faker performed exceptionally well in game 1 with a high output of damage. Criticizing his performance on Corki’s W mid does not acknowledge his overall strong performance. It is disheartening to see him frustrated, and it is important for people to show him respect rather than mocking him.”

“It is truly frightening to wake up and see the Faker video, and it is despicable to witness some individuals cheering it on,” expressed LCS caster Azael (https://x.com/AzaelOfficial/status/1819709807441723763). He acknowledged the immense pressure placed on professional gamers to maintain their top performance, especially for a decade, and expressed his hope for Faker’s well-being and access to support.

Despite still playing like one of the best in the world after all these years, it is evident that the stress has taken a toll on the League of Legends GOAT, both mentally and physically.
