Taco Bell plans to compete against Starbucks by introducing a brand new line of Frappuccino-inspired beverages, which are currently undergoing testing in the United States.
The Mexican fast food chain will introduce four luxurious flavors of drinks, signaling a shift towards barista-style beverages.
The Churro Chiller Coolers were initially launched in 2023 at Live Más, Taco Bell’s annual conference for fans where they announce their plans for the year. They are now available for you to experience firsthand.

The Churro Chiller Coolers will be available in four distinct flavors:
- The Sweet Vanilla Churro Chiller Cooler is a rich vanilla milkshake garnished with a purple vanilla sauce, finished with a layer of cold foam and sprinkled with crispy cinnamon churro bits.
- Mexican Chocolate Churro Chiller Cooler: A thick chocolate shake with chocolate sauce drizzled inside the cup and topped with cold foam and churro pieces. It’s great to see Taco Bell incorporating Mexican flavors, and Mexican chocolate has a richer, more intense flavor.
- Wild Strawberry Churro Chiller Cooler: A thick strawberry shake drizzled with strawberry sauce and topped with cold foam and crunchy cinnamon churro pieces.
- The Dulce De Leche Churro Chiller Cooler is a delicious drink that features the beloved Mexican dessert, dulce de leche. This dessert is known for its sweet and mellow flavor, similar to toffee or butterscotch. The drink is made with a blend of coffee and dulce de leche flavoring, topped with a cold foam and churro pieces for added texture and flavor.
The beverages were previously tested in a single location in the United States in 2023. However, they are now being introduced in specific areas within the Dallas, TX and Chicago, IL markets.
As they become increasingly accessible throughout the country, it is possible that we may see a nationwide launch at some point. However, in the meantime, you can check the Taco Bell app to see if they are currently available in your area.
Although Taco Bell offers a variety of iced beverages, such as their popular Baja Blast, they have yet to expand into dessert-style drinks. Currently, their menu only includes Cinnabon delights, churros, and cinnamon twists as sweet treats.
