The return of milkshakes to Taco Bell menus is exciting news for fans, although they may not be easily accessible everywhere.
The announcement was revealed during the Live Mas Live event in February, where food bloggers were invited to taste some of the new items being tested. Snackolator, a social media account known for sharing fast-food news, was the first to spread the word about the new lineup.
The latest additions to the milkshake menu consist of four distinct flavors – Dulce de Leche, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Sweet Vanilla, and Wild Strawberry.
Typically, whipped cream and cherries are the standard toppings for milkshakes, but Taco Bell is putting their own twist on things by adding cold foam and churro crumbles as the finishing touch.
Unfortunately, the milkshakes will not be available nationwide. As of April 2024, they are currently being tested only in Dallas, Texas and Chicago, Illinois. This means that if you do not live in one of these locations, you may have to plan a road trip to try them out.
Upon trying the new milkshakes, he provided his feedback: “If Taco Bell can improve the consistency of their Churro Chiller Shakes to be thicker, they might have a winning product here. The taste is great, but some parts of the shake were too melted and icy. However, when I did come across a thicker part, it was absolutely delicious.”
In December 2023, Taco Bell initially tested these drinks in a limited number of locations. Each beverage was served in a 16oz cup and could be bought for $4.19.
Taco Bell is notorious for frequently removing beloved food items from its menu, much to the disappointment of its loyal customers. However, due to popular demand, the fast food chain has a history of reintroducing these items, as seen with the recent revival of their nacho cheese fries.
This beloved item was introduced and discontinued a total of ten times. It gained immense popularity in previous years, as evidenced by its 53 million orders within the first two months of its initial release in 2018, accounting for approximately 25% of all sales at Taco Bell that year.
The Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries, officially named, are now available for purchase at the price of $4.99.
