TAEIL (NCT) Under Investigation for Sexual Offense, Withdraws from Group

In a recent announcement, SM Entertainment stated that Taeil will be leaving NCT due to his involvement in a sexual offense case. It is worth noting that SM proactively addressed the issue before it could be reported by the media.

SM Entertainment made an announcement:

“Recently, we have confirmed that Taeil has been charged in a criminal case related to a sexual offense. During the investigation into the facts surrounding this case, we found the issue to be very serious and have decided that Taeil cannot continue his activities with the group. After discussing with Taeil, he has decided to leave the group.

Currently, Taeil is fully cooperating with the police investigation, and we will provide further information as the investigation progresses. We deeply apologize for the controversy caused by our artist.”

Taeil has been an active member of NCT since his debut in 2016, serving as the main vocalist in both the sub-group NCT 127 and the unit NCT U.
