Taeyeon’s Frustration Over Concert Absence

On January 6, Taeyeon took to a fan communication platform to express her disappointment regarding the lack of preparations for her upcoming performance. She passionately stated, “I wanted to perform on stage in a cool way, and I was really eager to perform two or three songs, so I told the company and waited. But to make a long story short, they didn’t prepare anything, so I couldn’t perform at all.”

Clarifying Her Stance

Taeyeon clarified her intentions, saying, “It’s not that I have no enthusiasm or don’t want to do it. I just want to give my all on stage with sincerity and love, and that’s all. But since they didn’t support me properly, I’m seriously thinking about this. What on earth is going on?” Her words reflect her deep frustration and concern.

She also reassured her fans, stating, “I’m telling you this so that there’s no misunderstanding from the fans about me.” This transparency aims to prevent any misinterpretations regarding her commitment to her craft.

Upcoming Event Details

Despite Taeyeon’s situation, other SM Entertainment artists are set to perform at the “SM Town Live 2025 in Seoul,” scheduled for January 11 and 12 at the Gocheok Sky Dome.

However, on December 12, Melon Ticket announced that Taeyeon would not be participating in the concert, though the specific reasons for her absence were left undisclosed.

Wendy Joins in Absence

In a similar turn of events, Red Velvet’s Wendy has also announced that she will not be attending the performance. On January 6, SM Entertainment notified ticket holders, explaining, “Red Velvet’s Wendy will not be attending for personal reasons.”
