Take-Two CEO discusses GTA 6 release window & more info this fall

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed his intentions to release GTA 6 in Fall 2025 and hinted that more details may be revealed soon for the highly-anticipated Rockstar game.

The official announcement of GTA 6 was made in December of 2023, accompanied by a groundbreaking trailer. This confirmed that the game would be set in Vice City and feature a female protagonist, among other things.

Ever since, fans have been eagerly anticipating further updates about the game. Although Rockstar has specified a release window of Fall 2025, they have not yet announced a second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6.

Certain fans have also been curious about when Rockstar would release screenshots for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto, however, the studio has chosen to stay silent on the matter thus far.

On August 8, Take-Two conducted its quarterly earnings call and restated its plans to release GTA 6 in Fall 2025.

Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA video game actors strike, Zelnick has reassured that the progress of Rockstar Games’ video game projects will not be impacted.

Despite being asked about the progress of GTA 6 during the call, Zelnick refused to comment on its development stage. However, leaked emails from Rockstar indicate that the project is reaching its final stages, as employees are now working from the office to ensure the game’s delivery meets the high level of quality and polish that is expected.

Speaking in an interview with Variety, Zelnick was questioned about the possibility of fans receiving an official release date for GTA 6 during the fall earnings call.

He stated, “We will see.”

Although it may not seem like much, Fall 2024 is only one year away from the expected release window for GTA VI. Therefore, it would not be unexpected for Rockstar to reveal new information prior to that time.
