On Monday, June 24, 2024, It’s Anime! announced that SEEC’s Tasokare Hotel mobile game will be adapted into a television anime, set to air in January 2025. The streaming service also revealed the main cast and staff for the production, along with a promotional video and key visual.
The trailer for the Tasokare Hotel anime, which runs for approximately 90 seconds, starts by acknowledging the franchise’s previous game releases in 2017 and 2022. It then transitions to showcasing the production of the anime itself, introducing the main character Neko Tsukahara and her discovery of the titular lodge. As she speaks to the individuals residing there, she learns that it serves as a resting place for souls trapped in limbo before they can move on from the mortal world.
Tasokare Hotel: Next Chapter – Anime Adaptation Confirmed
The cast of the anime Tasokare Hotel features Rika Momokawa as the character Neko Tsukahara, Kodai Sakai as Atori Haruto, Yusuke Shirai as Masaki Osoto, Kanehira Yamamoto as the Hotel Manager, Yuki Nagano as Ruri, Natsue Sasamoto as Menow, and Takashi Narumi as Kiriko.
Kosuke Kuremizu is the director of the anime, which is being produced at PRA studios. Yuko Hariba is responsible for designing the characters and costumes, and is also one of the main animation directors alongside Minefumi Harada, Yuki Yabuta, and Fumiya Uehara. Other members of the staff include:

The initial release of Tasokare Hotel was in 2017 for iOS and Android, garnering over 1.1 million downloads worldwide. The follow-up game, Re:newal, was released for the same platforms in Japan in December 2022. The creators of the game, Benoma Ray and SEEC, have announced that the anime adaptation will bring a special charm that can only be achieved through this medium and will deliver unexpected emotions to even the most devoted fans of the original game. The anime’s plot is as follows:

It exists as a place between life and death, where souls unable to decide whether to move on to the afterlife or return to the present world can rest their wings.
The protagonist, Neko Tsukahara, wanders into “TASOKARE HOTEL”without remembering who she is or why she’s there.
Guided by the hotel staff, she is led to her room.
