Despite his reputation for being private about his personal life, Alwyn recently shared details about his previous relationship with Swift during an interview with The Sunday Times Style. He described their time together as “long, loving,”and “fully committed.”

Upon being questioned about whether he had heard Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department,”which is said to be about their relationship, Alwyn replied, “I believe my sentiments will resonate with many people,”and continued, “I hope others can relate to the challenges that arise when a six and a half year relationship full of love and commitment comes to a close.”

In April 2023, after dating for six years, Swift and Alwyn officially announced their split. Many fans believed that their relationship may have influenced Swift’s song “The Tortured Poets Department,”as she often draws inspiration from her personal experiences. Additionally, some speculated that the lyrics of “You’re Losing Me”were directed towards Alwyn.

Despite reportedly meeting at the Met Gala in 2016, the couple made a conscious effort to keep their relationship private. Although Swift and Alwyn never publicly addressed their split, a source revealed that they ended things amicably in April 2023. This news was unexpected for fans, as there had been rumors of an engagement between the two.

Following her split from Alwyn, Swift was rumored to be dating Matty Healy, the lead singer of British band The 1975. Some speculated that this was a “rebound relationship,”as Swift supposedly met Healy while collaborating on music during her time with Alwyn. However, the relationship was short-lived and Swift eventually began a public romance with American football player Travis Kelce, with whom she is currently in a relationship.
