Taylor Swift’s Response to Dave Grohl’s Suggestion That She Didn’t Play Live

Taylor Swift responded to Foo Fighters’ lead singer Dave Grohl’s statement that she ‘didn’t play live’ during her Eras Tour in London.

At the Foo Fighters’ London show, Dave Grohl made a comment about the pop singer, prompting Taylor Swift to stand up for her band. She proudly stated that they perform live for the entirety of her three and a half-hour sets.

During her sold-out Wembley show, the 34-year-old expressed, “What you just did will be forever etched in my memory, as well as in the memories of each member of our crew.”She also mentioned the band’s upcoming performance, stating, “The musicians who will be performing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.”

“Not only do they deserve this recognition, but so do all of my fellow performers. Your generous gesture will never be forgotten by any of us.”

After the Foo Fighters frontman took a jab at Taylor during his June 22 concert in London, which happened to coincide with one of Taylor’s Eras Tour performances on the opposite side of the city, this new incident occurred.

“Listen, tonight is dedicated to my Eras Tour. As the name suggests, it’s a tour full of errors, spelled e-r-r-o-r-s. In fact, I should have named it The Errors Tour. That would have been more fitting for this f**king tour.”

Following his previous statement, Dave clarified to fans that he was just joking about the Taylor Swift tour. The mention of her nearby concert was met with boos from the audience. The rockstar went on to say, “I am well aware that she is currently on her ‘Eras’ tour. Trust me, you don’t want to experience the fury of Taylor Swift.”

“We have affectionately dubbed our tour the Errors Tour, as we have encountered numerous mistakes and challenges along the way. Dave elaborated, “We’ve faced a couple of hiccups, but that’s because we pride ourselves on performing live. What?”

As the audience began to cheer, the former Nirvana drummer exclaimed, “Just wanted to mention, you all enjoy raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, correct? You’ve come to the perfect f**king spot!”

Despite previously praising Taylor for her music, Dave’s jab caught many by surprise. In response, one fan commented, “Ohhhh no he didn’t. We’ve all been huge fans of yours for so long. This was a major misstep.”

Another person stated, “I’m perplexed because he has given interviews with her and has been seen at parties where she has performed with Foo Fighters…”

On the other hand, some speculated that Dave’s criticism towards Taylor could stem from the online harassment his daughter, Violet, received from Swifties after she publicly called out the singer for her frequent use of private jets.
