Teacher Uses Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis & ‘Fanum Tax’ in Viral Math Lesson

An elementary school teacher has gained attention on social media for incorporating Twitch star Kai Cenat, YouTuber Duke Dennis, and the term ‘Fanum tax’ into a math lesson for her students.

In a video being shared on various social media platforms, a teacher is effectively teaching a lesson on subtraction by utilizing the talents of popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.

The teacher used the streamer and his buddies as an illustration to help her class visualize how to subtract 18 from 22, while teaching them the concept.

In the example, Kai’s broadcasts feature Fanum, a recurring character who aims to take 18 snacks from Kai and fellow YouTuber Duke Dennis. Together, they have a total of 22 snacks.

In this scenario, Duke is in the ‘tens’ place while Kai is in the ‘ones’ place. As a result, Kai must borrow ten snacks from Duke in order to have enough to give eight to Fanum.

“Can Fanum be taxed now?”the teacher asked her students. “Yes, he can.”

The video has become widely popular, causing internet users to feel both confused and entertained by the teacher’s dedication to helping her students learn.

One user on X stated, “I can’t blame her. Honestly, it’s likely the only way to get their attention.”

Another person proposed the idea of growing up with this knowledge and having to subtract by saying, “I have to subtract five from four as per Fanum tax.”

Another person claimed that this generation was doomed.

Despite his recent viral success, Kai Cenat has always been a popular streamer on Twitch. His 166-hour broadcast of Elden Ring captured the attention of viewers for seven consecutive days and even garnered the most views on the platform, even while he slept.

The streamer has had a significant impact on popular culture, introducing terms such as ‘rizz’ and ‘Fanum tax’ that have become so widespread that they are now even used in educational settings.

The term ‘Fanum tax’ is used to describe the frequent occurrences in Kai’s broadcasts where his friend and fellow streamer, ‘Fanum,’ enters his room while he is eating and helps himself to some of Kai’s food. This phenomenon has become so common that viewers have coined the term ‘Fanum tax,’ which has now become a popular phrase in the cultural lexicon.

Despite not yet acknowledging the viral clip, it is evident that Kai is currently one of the most sought-after entertainers worldwide. This is further solidified by his mention in one of Drake’s diss tracks during the artist’s viral feud with Kendrick Lamar.
