Team Rocket finally becomes threatening in Pokemon Go glitch

Team Rocket is shedding its comedic origins and transforming into a formidable adversary in Pokemon Go, all due to a bug that has caused them to unite in targeting unsuspecting trainers.

In Pokemon Go, the majority of Team Rocket members can be found loitering around PokeStops, eagerly challenging any players who stop by. Additionally, you may come across Team Rocket Grunts and Leaders aboard balloons that traverse the map.

Similar to the Pokemon Go player avatars, who have the freedom to explore the overworld, Team Rocket soldiers remain stationary on the map. However, a Reddit user discovered an exception to this rule and shared a screenshot on the Pokemon Go subreddit, displaying their player character surrounded by grunts.

It goes without saying that an unusual incident such as this elicited a plethora of comical reactions from the fanbase.

“One user commented, “You entered the incorrect neighborhood, op,”as another playfully added, “We’re attempting to contact you regarding your vehicle insurance.”

One user joked, “Looks like your character is now a street dweller… might as well accept your losses and move on.”Another user commented, “That guy must have been really angry about losing, he even came back with the game.”

Unfortunately, this Team Rocket incident is caused by a glitch, which is a shame because having roaming Pokemon trainers would greatly enhance Pokemon Go. It would be even better if these trainers had a larger variety of ‘Mons compared to the typical Team Rocket cycles.

However, having Team Rocket surround players in a game aimed at children may be too intimidating. While the Team Rocket seen in the anime may have been comical, they have been depicted as formidable adversaries in other forms of media. Being relentlessly pursued by them throughout the Pokemon Go world, akin to Nemesis from Resident Evil 3, could potentially make the game too frightening for young players.
