Teaser for Pokemon Go 2024 Halloween Part 2 Suggests Mega Mewtwo May Make Its Debut

Fans of Pokémon Go are gearing up for a thrilling Halloween celebration with the 2024 event. While the first part has unveiled its lineup of highlight species, the second part remains shrouded in mystery, sparking speculation about the possible return of a beloved Kanto legendary Pokémon.

The Pokémon Go 2024 Halloween Part 1 event is set to commence on October 22, 2024, running until October 28. Although players are buzzing about the introduction of Morpeko, there’s a palpable excitement surrounding the upcoming Halloween Part 2 event.

Updates regarding the anticipated features have been circulating on social media, with Niantic providing teasers about the Halloween Part 2 roster through their official PokemonGoApp X account.

Nevertheless, some astute Pokémon Go fans have noticed that there may be deeper implications within this teaser beyond the obvious. One player pointed out a seemingly innocuous image in the background that could be mistaken for a headstone.

Some fans speculated that it is Wiglett, but it bears a striking resemblance to Orthworm from the Paldea region.

A particularly intriguing distorted image that captures the attention of Pokémon Go enthusiasts is located in the top right corner of the teaser. Amidst a cluster of sharp tree branches, one player has deciphered a rounded outline that appears out of place.

“Is that Mewtwo top right?” was the question posed alongside a close-up of the peculiar shape.

While some trainers were quick to dismiss this as merely a tree branch, others have not ruled out the possibility that it hints at the introduction of Mega Mewtwo.

Both Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y have yet to make their appearance in Pokémon Go, and with them being among the last Mega Evolutions unadded, many speculate they could serve as a grand finale for the Mega Evolution feature, with the iconic Kanto Pokémon leading the way.

Enthusiastic players discussing the teaser have expressed positive theories, insisting, “It’s Mega Mewtwo… You can see his tail.”

A closer examination of the teaser reveals that the shadowy figure among the trees does not match the surrounding branches. However, the mystery will linger until Niantic officially discloses the lineup for Pokémon Go’s Halloween Part 2 event.
