One of the most addicting games on Roblox is certainly the Terminal Escape Room, a compelling mix of challenge and enjoyment. If you’re struggling to navigate your way through, fear not; we provide the complete walkthrough here to guide you through each chapter.
Complete Guide to Terminal Escape Room Chapters
There are three engaging chapters available in the Terminal Escape Room, all accessible from the lobby. You can tackle these either alone or with a team of up to four players. As is typical in escape rooms, solving a variety of puzzles is crucial to escaping before the time runs out. Here’s how to successfully navigate all the chapters.
Chapter 1
Upon starting Chapter 1, you’ll find yourself in a train car. Your character will mention that the train appears to be moving unusually fast, indicating that something is amiss. You have 45 minutes to escape the train. Search the train car for clues, and note that there’s a keypad next to the door requiring a code to unlock it.
Room 1 – Unlocking the Keypad
To find the code, examine two posters within your line of sight: one directly in front of your seat and another behind you. Check above the window to spot them.
You’ll find the raffle poster on the wall beside the National Train Day poster and the seating chart next to the parking lessons sign. Use these to determine the keypad code by matching the raffle numbers to their corresponding seat locations. You’ll need to flip specific seats to uncover their numbers:
- While facing the door, turn left where the rows diverge, flipping the first and fourth chairs to reveal 9 and 3.
- Still facing the red light, turn left to flip the first chair in the second row and the third chair in the first row to find 4 and 7.
After collecting all your numbers, you must organize them correctly to enter the keypad code:
- 1. A2 = 3
- 2. C6 = 4
- 3. B8 = 7
- 4. A5 = 9
This gives you the code 3479. Enter it into the keypad to proceed to the next room.
Room 2 – Obtaining the Keycard
Next, you’ll encounter another locked door. Here, you’ll need a keycard. Notice the vending machine on the left side of the door with the keycard stuck in slot 2C. To retrieve it, you’ll need two quarters.
Where to Find Quarters
You can find the first quarter at the ATM, requiring a code. Check the clock poster in the first room for the time, revealing the code 1235.
Enter this code at the ATM to receive your quarter. Don’t forget to take it!
To get the second quarter, return to the first room and search for a bamboo pot located by walking to the red light on the left. Grab the quarter inside the pot.
Now that you have two quarters, you can return to the vending machine. Input the code 2C and press the green button; there’s no need to equip the quarters manually.
The keycard will drop down for you to collect. You require this to unlock the third room door and proceed further.
Room 3 – Powering Up the Fuse Box
You will find another keycard in this room, but it won’t work until you power up the fuse box by inserting the right fuse and flipping the correct switches.
Where to Find the Fuse
Begin by locating the fuse. Go back into the first room and look under the last seat on the left labeled with a 9. (If it’s not there, check behind the top row of seats.)
Take the fuse back to the fuse box. After reinserting it, determine the switch order required to reset it by heading back to the second room and glancing at the pattern on the ceiling.
The pattern will show filled circles among unfilled circles. The filled circles indicate the switches to flip. Return to the fuse box and flip the switches in the following order (counting from the top left): 2, 5, 7, 8, 9.
Once the lights are on, the keypad is functional, but you still need to find the code. Look above the door for a poster displaying Morse code. Use this to decipher the code from the blinking red light at the end of the train.
Pay close attention to the blinking patterns. Long red lines represent long blinks, and smaller circles represent quick blinks. You will need four numbers, so watch the entire sequence closely. The required code is: 3967.
After entering this, you can proceed into the final room—the control room.
Room 4 – Stopping the Train
In this room, you will enter a four-digit code into the keypad to the right and then pull the lever. Turn around to see four posters on the wall, which will help you find the necessary numbers.
First Number
The first poster shows a hotel image. Find a second hotel poster in the first room up high on the back right. The poster will read Hotel Sevens, revealing that the first number is 7.
Second Number
The second number comes from a poster featuring various colored shapes in a mathematical equation. You must count all the bamboo in plant pots in every room based on their colors, adding and subtracting to find the second number.
The color of the pot is determined by the glowing light surrounding it. In the third room, identify two purple pots with three bamboos each. In the second room, there’s a green pot with five bamboos, and in the first room, a yellow pot with two:
Calculating gives: 3 + 3 + 5 – 2 = 9. Now you have your first and second codes.
Third Number
For the third number, you must find the same scribble shape on papers scattered around room 3. The necessary paper is on the first blue booth table in front of the ATM.
Locate the matching scribble from the poster in the control room, which corresponds to the number 4 for the third code.
Fourth Number
The last poster is rather confusing. Instead of focusing on the image, input any of the numbers shown on it until it works.
Fortunately, the number 1 is the first on display, and it’s the answer you need for your code.
You now have all your numbers to input into the control room keypad: 7–9–4–1. After unlocking it, pull the lever to stop the train, completing the first chapter!
Chapter 2
In Chapter 2, you will arrive at the station tunnel, where you have 90 minutes to escape from all the rooms. As always, there’s a locked door that needs to be opened via the keypad, but it’s currently unresponsive. Follow the wire leading from the keypad to discover a small wire box that can only be opened with a screwdriver.
Room 1 – Rewiring the Keypad
Where to Find a Screwdriver
To find the screwdriver, you’ll need to look at a poster. Jump across the tracks and check the wall of posters. One poster mentions “feeling screwed,”instructing you to look to the left of the flowers.
While there aren’t actual flowers, there is a large image of flowers. Cross back over the tracks and locate the flower picture. As the poster suggested, the screwdriver can be found on the ground to the left of it.
Now equipped with the screwdriver, head back to the wire box and remove each screw.
How to Cut and Rewire the Cables
Now with access to the wires, you will need a sharp object to cut them. As before, return to the poster wall for a clue.
A poster mentions locating sharp objects on the train tracks. Go to the front of the train to find a pair of scissors resting directly on the track.
You can use these scissors to cut the wires. Go back to the wire box and cut all of them; you need to connect them in the right sequence.
After cutting them all, you can enter the wire box to reconnect the wires in the correct order. To find this order, return to the poster wall and look for a poster on the left side that outlines the color conventions.
Here’s a distilled version for the wire connection order:
- Purple
- Brown
- Red
- Green
- Black
- Orange
- White
- Pink
- Yellow
- Blue
After connecting them in this order, the wire to the keypad should glow blue. Now all that remains is to determine the key code to enter through the door.
How to Find the Keypad Code
To determine the code for the keypad, observe the flickering lights around you, focusing on the dragon picture, the letters above the door, and the planet picture.
- To discern the number from the dragon poster, find its position marked #2 on the left side.
- The flashing letters spell out the number nineteen.
- Lastly, for the planet number, check the sun solstice poster mentioning “3rd Avenue.”
Combining these gives you the keypad code: 2–1–9–3. Input this to progress!
Room 2 – Unlocking the Hatch Door
In the next room, you will need to unlock a hatch door with another keypad. Begin by using the computer to find out where to locate all four numbers for your code.
The computer will provide hints to find the numbers:
- 1. Take out the trash
- 2. Find two pipes and fix plumbing
- 3. Track Anita’s location yesterday
- 4. Count sticky notes (7 dozen)
First Number
Observe the images of the moon and sun on the wall—with sticky notes indicating numbers. Solve: (4 x 4) – (2 x 7) = 2.
Second Number
To grab the second number, locate and restore the missing pipe. Clues for the first pipe are hidden in the “park”image outside the tunnel, while the other can be found on the top of the train.
Return the pipes to the wall and connect them. The correctly aligned pipes will form the number 5.
Third Number
To pinpoint the third number, you must “track Anita’s location yesterday”. Her route can be deciphered from sticky notes detailing her various stops.
Your path will start at 1534 Archer LN, then head left to the Bakery. From there, progress down to Vic’s Diner, move right to Pete’s Arcade, go up to Elderglade Park, and finally move left to Sam’s House. The formed shape will represent the number 6.
Fourth Number
With all four numbers collected, proceed to the keypad and input: 2–5–6–7. This will unlock the hatch door and allow you to descend into the final room.
Room 3 – Escaping the Maze
This final room in Chapter 2 serves as the most challenging. You not only need to navigate through a maze but must also solve a puzzle at the maze’s end, which requires possession of a TV remote and locating all five cipher pages.
To reach the TV room through the maze, follow these instructions:
- Take a right turn and continue until you reach a path split.
- At the fork, go left and immediately take another left.
- Follow this path straight until you encounter a right turn, and keep going until you see a light shining into a hatch hole to climb into the room.
In the TV room, your objective is to find the code for the keypad by forming numbers displayed on the tiled screens. To achieve this, you need the TV remote to pause the screens and display the numbers clearly.
How to Acquire the TV Remote
Backtrack to the hatch tunnel entrance to locate the TV remote:
- Walk straight from the hatch and take a left.
- At the end of the hall, take the second right before following it to a split.
- At the split, take the right turn until you find the TV remote resting on a stool.
With the remote, you are ready to figure out the code to exit the TV room, but you will also need to retrieve all the cipher pages first.
Where to Find Cipher Pages
The cipher pages are hidden across various rooms. You need to collect all five:
- On the dragon picture in the train tunnel.
- On the wall in the post-it room above the coffee machine.
- On the wall at the hatch entrance.
- On the wall in the maze leading to the TV room.
- In the TV room on the back left corner wall.
With all cipher pages collected, you’re now prepared to proceed.
How to Solve the TV Room Code
Begin solving the TV room puzzle by locating colored TVs in the center. Identify and fill in all coordinates on each color-matching TV monitors.
When done correctly, you obtain four numbers:
- Red : A3, A5, A2, E4, C5, D1, B3, B5, B2 = 2
- Green : B3, B4, B1, E2, A4, C3, D3 = 7
- Blue: E5, B1, D3, C3, C5, C2, A1, A4, A5 = 6
- Yellow: B4, B1, B2, E5, E3, A4, A1, A2, C5, D4, D1, D2 = 8
Now to arrange them in the proper order. Use your TV remote to pause the TV above the yellow monitor to reveal the order: red, blue, green, yellow. Enter this into the keypad: 2–6–7–8, allowing you to enter the final room.
Room 4 – Solving the Cipher
In the final room, use the ciphers you collected to work through the puzzle and complete Chapter 2. Begin by approaching the wooden board and inserting all cipher pages.
Using the ciphers, decode the gibberish statements on the wall opposite from the board. You need to substitute each letter appropriately. Your results should look like this:
- Clue 1: The number of words in this riddle +
- Clue 2: Five times how many TVs are stacked in the center of room three +
- Clue 3: One hundred times the number of straight line pipes in the maintenance room +
- Clue 4: Forty-six times the number of beginner’s guide posters in the tunnel =?
After counting all items in the clues and entering them into the equation, you will arrive at this solution: 45 + (5 x 23) + (100 x 30) + (46 x 7) = 3–4–8–2. Insert this into the keypad and press the elevator button to escape and finish this chapter!
Chapter 3
In Chapter 3, you will continue your adventure in the elevator, progressing through multiple rooms while racing against time. Here’s how to tackle this chapter!
Room 1 – Escaping the Elevator
Your initial room is the elevator itself, and before you can exit, you must determine the code. First, check above at the ceiling hatch to open it and reveal the ladder, allowing you to climb up.
At the top, observe various symbols on the walls and ceiling. Use these symbols along with posters in the elevator to discover four necessary keypad numbers. One poster indicates you should work downwards from the top ceiling down to the floor.
First Number
To locate the first number, observe the symbols ahead of you when climbing up and decipher them using the pigeon poster cipher. The message states, “Count the triangles,”leading you to count all the triangles visible on the walls to obtain two.
Second Number
Next, find the second number via the braille poster in the elevator. Look directly above the poster at the lights. Focus on the far-right corner for matching lights that correspond to the braille pattern, ultimately indicating three.
Third Number
For the third number, locate the iguana poster on the wall and compare it with the light panels on the elevator walls. Establish which pattern matches the ignuana chart in order to retrieve one.
Fourth Number
Lastly, look at the elevator floor and count the value of the visible red rings, matching it to the archery poster. The red rings appear as follows: outer ring 1, middle 2, inner 4. Adding these together gives you 7.
Now, with all your numbers, input them into the elevator buttons as 2–3–1–7. The elevator doors then open allowing you to proceed.
Room 2 – Solving Color Puzzles
In this space, you will find multiple branching rooms off a main circular hallway. To advance, you’ll need to collect various colorful items necessary for solving a puzzle and obtaining the code from each room.
Where to Find Colorful Items
Each type of item is present in eight quantities and scattered throughout the rooms. Keep track of what you’ve gathered on your screen as you collect them.
Initially, you might miss some posters and paint cans until you complete the first puzzles. Start with collecting all eight boxes, focusing on that puzzle first. Here’s where they’re located:
- Posters:
- 1. Behind the plant near the elevator door, across from the fish tank.
- 2. Underneath the table to the left of the fish tank.
- 3. In the paint puzzle room on the paint canvas.
- 4. In the box puzzle room, far left corner on the side of the keypad box.
- 5. In the arcade room on the left side of the green arcade machine.
- 6. On the right side of the fish tank.
- 7. In the box puzzle keypad safe (complete the puzzle first).
- 8. In the metal box in paint puzzle room (complete that puzzle first).
- Boxes:
- 1. Purple: To the left of the paint puzzle room on top of the filing cabinets.
- 2. Black: In the paint puzzle room, in the front left corner behind the metal block.
- 3. Green: In the arcade room, on top of the red arcade machine, just left of the entrance.
- 4. Orange: In the arcade room, on the right side of the counter.
- 5. White: Under the coffee table in the circular hallway.
- 6. Red: In the poster puzzle room, under the desk in the far right corner.
- 7. Blue: In the poster puzzle room, on top of the desk in the far right corner.
- 8. Yellow: In the box puzzle room near the lantern, in the far right corner.
- Paint Cans:
- 1. Black: In the puzzle room by the right-side paint canvas.
- 2. Green: Near the elevator door to the left of the puzzle room across from the math poster.
- 3. Purple: In the box room, in the front left corner.
- 4. Orange: In the box room, on the metal rack shelf.
- 5. Red: In the arcade room hanging from the ceiling towards the far right corner.
- 6. White: In the arcade room, front right corner.
- 7. Yellow: In the poster puzzle room, underneath the desk on the left side.
- 8. Blue: In the box puzzle keypad safe (complete that puzzle to access it).
How to Solve the Box Puzzle
Once you have all the boxes, it’s time to solve this puzzle. Focus on the math posters and the app posters for instructions.
The math posters will guide placement spots for each box, while the app posters detail how to rotate the boxes accordingly. You need to view all posters to gain four numbers.
After carefully observing these signs, head back to the box puzzle room to begin arranging your boxes.
For math page 1, position the boxes correctly according to their shapes, then press the tap icon to switch to rotation mode, matching internal items (such as nails) to corresponding designs listed on the app posters.
Repeat this four times according to the order shown on each poster to reveal your code for the box room safe: 6–8–2–4. Inside, you’ll discover a blue paint can, a poster, a coin, and a key, allowing you to progress to the paint puzzle.
How to Solve the Paint Puzzle
With all paint cans collected, head to the paint puzzle room. The key to this puzzle is inspecting the walls to correspond numbers with colors, denoted with clues such as “2 = Yellow.”
Once you decipher the colors and their associated numbers, begin filling out the board in the style of a paint by numbers. For example, yellow = 2 means you fill in all twos with yellow paint. Proceed similarly for all colors until the surface is entirely filled.
You’ll notice the meters on each side of the painting vary depending on how much paint you’ve used. You will need four numbers for the next task, so check the poster on the right that asks, “All finished painting?“, to learn what colors and numbers you will need.
In the poster, the color-sequence spells out: purple, orange, blue, and red. Cross-check the paint meters for each to determine the code: 5–4–3–1. Enter this into the number buttons on the left of the door to unlock the nearby box and collect another coin, poster, and key.
How to Solve the Poster Puzzle
With all eight posters collected, you can proceed to the poster puzzle room. The goal is to arrange the gathered posters in the correct order to derive a four-digit code. Inspect the newspaper on the ground beside you for help.
This newspaper has several underlined words that correspond with shapes on the posters: Plus, Square, Triangle, and Minus.
