Terrifier 3 Early Reactions Praise “Disturbing” Horror Film Unique in Its Genre

The initial reactions to Terrifier 3 are in, and it appears that this installment will showcase Art the Clown’s most gruesome acts to date – with viewers describing it as “brutal as f**k” and asserting it crosses every conceivable limit. Gulp.

If you thought Damien Leone would tone down the horror… what were you expecting? The director was granted a larger budget for Terrifier 3, but there was one stipulation: it must remain faithful to what fans adore about these films… intense and stomach-churning gore.

According to the first reactions from its premiere at Fantastic Fest, it is the most violent entry in the series up to this point.

In addition to other reactions, critic and filmmaker Jacob Harper remarked: “Just got out of Terrifier 3. WOW, if you believed the Terrifier team couldn’t top part two, you’d be sorely mistaken. Bloody and blasphemous in all the right ways.”

Noah Levine also posted: “#Terrifier3 goes there and then goes 54 steps further. An absolute splatter fest of unseen proportions. The shower scene is set to become legendary. Lauren LaVera is such a great lead. There are many twisted and intriguing nods to the lore, getting very HELLRAISER in here. Damn.”

YouTuber Cody Leach remarked that it has “everything you want if you’re a fan of the franchise.”

“It nicely blends the tone of the previous two while evolving the lore and characters in fascinating ways. Oh… and it’s brutal AS F**K!!! It examines every limit and crosses them with a twisted smile,” he added.

The third film will chronicle the journey of Sienna and her brother as they “struggle to rebuild their lives after surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre,” according to the synopsis.

“As the holiday season approaches, they attempt to embrace the Christmas spirit and move past the horrors of their past. But just when they believe they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to transform their holiday cheer into a fresh nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his unique brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.”

Before its premiere on October 11, read about the “absolutely disgusting” scene that nearly caused Art’s actor to vomit and the phone number available for fans to speak with Art in real life.
