Daniel Roebuck takes on the role of Santa Claus in Terrifier 3, and with Art the Clown competing for the jolly man’s position, expect some truly “awful” events to unfold.
Damien Leone has certainly outdone himself with Terrifier 3. Not only is it the goriest horror film of 2024, but it also delves deeper into Art’s chilling backstory.
The official poster features Art wearing Santa’s face around his neck. Although we won’t spoil every graphic detail, Roebuck hinted that what happens to his character is “so awful” that replicas had to be created.
The actor mentioned that he anticipated intense effects since he “had to be scanned and they had to make molds” of him.
“When I witnessed the effects coming together, I stood back and watched as this symphony unfolded. What they do to me is so horrifying that using me for the actual scene was impossible,” Roebuck stated.
“So there are alternate versions of me. And it was like, ‘What?’ I recall us saying, ‘What is wrong with you that you would even conceive of this? How do you come up with these ideas?’ It’s crazy!”
When discussing how Terrifier 3 stands out from its predecessors, Roebuck cleverly compared it to classical music. “I believe it differs in the same way Beethoven’s fifth is superior to Beethoven’s fourth,” he explained.
“You understand what I mean? Beethoven was like, ‘This piece is fine, but the fifth will astound you!’ Terrifier 3 is akin to a maestro conducting a full orchestra.
“The earlier films were admittedly low-budget—you could see the financial constraints from one to two. Both movies are entertaining, but with a bit more funding, the grandiosity increases.
“Damien enlisted renowned special effects artist Christien Tinsley, who ranks among Hollywood’s top visual effects specialists. I’ve collaborated with him numerous times over my 40 years. He is incredible.

“So when his team was brought in to transform Damien’s wild ideas into reality, it’s guaranteed to astonish audiences. Prepare for an Ode to Kill. That’s what it’s going to be… a bloody symphony.”
Terrifier 3 hits theaters on October 11.
