Despite the game’s thrilling premise, some users have raised valid concerns regarding privacy issues related to webcam usage. Hedlund responded, reassuring players that if you are a Vtuber or prefer to keep your face hidden, there’s an option available to do so. The game utilizes OpenCV for Unity for its facial recognition features, which rely on pre-trained models, all while maintaining user privacy.
“Everything runs locally—nothing is sent to any server or external destination. Plus, you can disable the mechanic at any time, ” Hedlund stated, putting anxious players at ease.
