TFT Patch 14.20 Update: Let ‘Em Cook Rework, Major QoL Improvements, Eldritch Buffs, and More

TFT patch 14.20 is set to arrive with a host of long-awaited quality-of-life adjustments, including some subtle yet impactful modifications to gameplay. Additionally, various traits, units, augments, and charms are up for revisions.

The response to TFT’s set 12 has been largely positive, thanks to the introduction of charms that have effectively diversified the gameplay. Nonetheless, developers remain focused on enhancing older systems that have required updates for an extended period.

Among the numerous enhancements in patch 14.20, one of the most significant is that combining units to upgrade their star levels now occurs instantly, eliminating the delay caused by the animation when aspiring to place a powerful three-star unit on the board.

  • The unit upgrade animation now completes instantly.
  • When assessing champion strength, in cases where two champions are identical and possess the same number of items, the unit with the higher star level is prioritized as the stronger variant.

  • Let ’em Cook has been completely removed and replaced with Make ’em Cook
    • Make ‘Em Cook: Players start with a Spatula and a Frying Pan. Reforgers will not drop. Under any circumstance.
