Thai Media Accuses BLACKPINK Lisa’s ROCKSTAR MV of Copying Travis Scott’s FE!N MV

Gabriel Moses, a photographer and video director, caused speculation on his Instagram account regarding BLACKPINK Lisa’s music video potentially plagiarizing one of his own. He has an impressive portfolio, having directed music videos for Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and other internationally recognized artists.

Specifically, an individual on X (Twitter) noted that a particular scene in Travis Scott’s music video for “FE!N”bears resemblance to a scene in Lisa’s new solo track “ROCKSTAR.””FE!N”was released in July of last year as part of Travis Scott’s fourth studio album, while Lisa’s “ROCKSTAR”was released on June 28.

Gabriel Moses retweeted a netizen’s post and revealed, “They contacted my editor to collaborate on this project, with Fein as the source. However, my editor declined and they proceeded without permission. Have a good day.”He also sent a message to Lisa regarding the alleged plagiarism, requesting an official statement to be made before the end of the month.

At the same time, Khaosod, a Thai media outlet, also covered the accusations of plagiarism. According to the media, Lisa’s music video for “ROCKSTAR”bears a striking resemblance to Gabriel Moses’ music video for “FE!N”by Travis Scott. Upon comparing the two, it appears that “ROCKSTAR”could be seen as a replication of “FE!N”.
