Thank you Yuji, the ultimate payback in Jujutsu Kaisen is served

Despite the dark scenario, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267 has provided a much-needed ray of hope. After a lengthy wait, Nobara Kugisaki has made a triumphant return. Not only that, but she has also made a swift impact on the ongoing battle by utilizing her Straw Doll Technique on Ryomen Sukuna’s final finger, delivering a powerful blow to his weakest spot. This pivotal moment takes place at an undisclosed location.

Returning to the events in Shinjuku, Sukuna was still reeling from the effects of Nobara’s technique as Yuji Itadori saw an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. He capitalized on it, successfully delivering his signature jarring Black Flash on the Demon King. The way he executed the move seemed oddly familiar, almost as if he was seeking revenge.

Throughout the story, Sukuna has been a constant source of trouble for Yuji, always finding ways to torment him. The ultimate act of defiance was when Sukuna took over Megumi Fushiguro, directly challenging Yuji. However, in the final moments of the story, Yuji finally has the chance to seek revenge and he is taking full advantage of it.

After enduring Sukuna’s schemes for quite some time, Yuji finally got his revenge by forcefully striking a massive Black Flash at Sukuna’s midsection. To fully grasp the situation, let’s go back to chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen where Sukuna had cunningly used his Binding Vow to possess Megumi Fushiguro, a plan he had been brewing for a while.

Despite Yuji’s shock and inability to react in time, Sukuna (in Megumi’s body) swiftly advanced and delivered a powerful punch to his gut, causing him to be propelled off the roof and crash through several buildings before landing on a nearby rooftop. This move effectively immobilized Yuji, leaving him unable to escape through Neu using the Ten Shadows Technique.

The memory of that brief moment when he caught Yuji off guard and used it to incapacitate him still lingers. Yuji was too preoccupied with Yorozu and had chased after her once she revealed herself. In the midst of this chaos, Sukuna was able to quickly take over an equally stunned Megumi, whose resistance was ultimately in vain.

Returning to Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267, Sukuna experienced the effects of Resonance from Nobara’s technique. He was subsequently struck by Yuji’s Soul Dismantle and the two engaged in a rapid exchange of attacks. Sukuna was once again taken by surprise when Yuji deliberately slowed down his movements, creating a delay before delivering a powerful double-impact blow on the King of Curses.

As Sukuna stood in shock and unable to move, Yuji channeled all of his power and delivered a direct hit to Sukuna’s chest with a Black Flash. This scene mirrors the one in chapter 213 where Sukuna had done the same to Yuji. In this moment, Yuji finally exacted the retribution that the Demon King deserved for causing so much chaos and destruction.

Furthermore, Yuji’s entire growth and potential achievement serve as a direct retaliation against Sukuna. From the start, Sukuna constantly criticized Yuji for his perceived weakness and made numerous attempts to demoralize him. However, each time Yuji faced such challenges, he emerged even stronger and continued to develop, ultimately becoming the person he is today.
