Immediately following, the episode takes a deep dive into a flashback, depicting Benimaru and Albis’ journey to the hidden village of the Tengus located in the Kusha mountains. Their purpose was to obtain approval from the Tengus for the construction of the highway.

Despite Momiji’s unwillingness to cooperate upon learning of Rimuru’s plan to dig through the Kusha mountains, Kaede, the Tengu’s elder, agreed to help on the condition that Momiji’s daughter, Benimaru, would marry her.

While talking with Benimaru, Kaede mentioned her past relationship with Hakuro. Despite being unable to give a direct response to the Tengu leader’s request, Benimaru assured her that he would inform her of his decision at a later time.

Upon returning to the present, Rimuru warmly greets Momiji. As the representative of the Tengu clan, she acknowledges the slime as the new Demon Lord and declares the Tengus’ recognition of his authority over the Jura Forest. However, Rimuru cannot help but notice Momiji’s contemplative expression.

She expresses her concern that Demon Lord Frey, who has a connection with Rimuru, might attempt to manipulate the Tengus to work under her against Thalion. However, the slime reassures her that Frey probably has no intention of involving Thalion or the Tengus, as she is satisfied with Jura Tempest’s recent developments.

In contrast, Hakuro joins forces with Momiji and commits to training her in swordplay. He also exchanges playful remarks with Benimaru regarding the care of her daughter.

Shuna then discloses a message from Albis to the ogre stating her intentions to defeat Momiji in a battle and earn the title of Benimaru’s husband. Gabiru also mentions that her sisters have developed strong feelings for the ogre.

Benimaru affirms that he plans to have only one spouse, while Momiji eagerly accepts Albis’ dare to become the ogre’s wife. The episode concludes with Shuna and Shion challenging each other to win Rimuru’s affections.
