Similarly to its predecessors, episode 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 placed a strong emphasis on developing the world and its characters rather than relying on action. Additionally, the episode uncovered intriguing information about Vesta and Kaijin’s creation.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Vesta and Kaijin’s Latest Invention Revealed in Season 3 Episode 4 Highlights
Continuing from the events of the previous episode, the fourth episode of season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime begins with Rimuru Tempest inquiring about any developments in the Jura Tempest’s monster ecosystem to his companions.
Souei explains that despite the chaos caused by a Sword Grizzly in the forest, he was able to handle it. As seen in That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 episode 4, the Sword Grizzly is comparable to a Knight Spider, both being considered A-minus rank creatures.
Rimuru is concerned about the potential impact of the increasing number of monsters in the nation. To address this issue, Vesta proposes implementing an Anti-Magic Barrier along the highways. When Rimuru asks about this, Kaijin explains that they have successfully constructed a fully automated magic generator capable of producing the barrier.
Based on the events of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 episode 4, it can be inferred that Vesta and Kaijin’s Anti-Magic Barrier functions similarly to Rune magic. By harnessing the magicules present in the air, it is able to form a protective barrier.
Rimuru believes the Monster nation, with its high magicule density, is the ideal place for this invention. Additionally, Vesta discloses that the device can be utilized to activate various types of magic.
The barrier can be activated by installing the devices along the highways, as suggested by him. The presence of high magicule density in the air eliminates the need to constantly refuel the device. As long as the machine is functioning properly, there is no need for further maintenance.
Veldora believes he can finally release his aura (magicule) and is eager to do so. However, Rimuru intervenes, cautioning him against it as his aura has the potential to destroy the entire nation.
Upon hearing this, Diablo informs Rimuru that while he himself can sustain his aura, it is crucial for beings like Veldora and Benimaru to release it. The slime contemplates this and promises Veldora to consider it at a later time. In the meantime, he politely asks Veldora to control his aura.
The Assignment of an Essential Task to Geld and Further Reports from Diablo
After examining the Ant-Magic Barrier, Rimuru heads back to his estate to resume his meeting. In episode 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3, Rimuru Tempest tasks Geld with building Milim’s castle, confident in Geld’s abilities for the job.
Despite feeling overwhelmed, the Orc expresses gratitude to Rimuru for the chance to work on a large-scale project. Additionally, Kaijin reassures Rimuru that he will ensure the orc has all the necessary support.
In the fourth episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3, Rimuru asks Diablo for a report. The demon butler informs him that Youm, the former king of Falmuth, will face difficulties negotiating directly with the royalty. As a result, Edmaris is teaching him the proper etiquette and manners.
Despite the fact that he suspects the new king of plotting something behind the scenes, he is reassured by Diablo and Benimaru that they have a force prepared in case of any potential occurrences.
The fourth episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 also confirms that Reyhiem still hasn’t brought back a message from the Holy Kingdom of Lubelius.
Diablo explains that his men brought the Archbishop to the Engrassia Capital with Rimuru’s message, and from there, they used a special transport gate to directly teleport to Lubelius. Despite Rimuru’s concerns for the man’s well-being, Diablo reassures the slime that Reyhiem is still alive.
Soei advises Rimuru Tempest against infiltrating Lubelius, explaining that it would not be a wise decision. Rimuru agrees, taking into account the presence of Hinata Sakaguchi.
Rimuru Tempest’s Discovery of Multiple Masterminds Involved
The fourth episode of season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime delves deeper into Rimuru’s conversation about Hinata’s true intentions. Despite his desire for peaceful coexistence between the Monster nation and Lubelius, Rimuru understands that Hinata will not agree as it contradicts her beliefs.
Shuna then brings to Rimuru’s attention Clayman’s implication of a mastermind. The others also express caution towards this individual. Rimuru then begins to ponder if Hinata’s attack on him was a personal decision.
After discussing with his friends, he comes to the realization that there could be multiple masterminds involved. Nevertheless, he believes that the likelihood of them targeting him is minimal.
Despite Rimuru’s reluctance to rely solely on assumptions, Diablo assures him that he will investigate the matter further. He also reveals that a merchant was the source of the crucial information provided to Edmaris and his ministers.
As a result, the slime begins to suspect that certain merchants may be secretly scheming to make a profit. In the fourth episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3, Rimuru Tempest delegates various tasks to his companions.
After recovering the account books from Clayman’s castle, Diablo asks Shuna to examine them and identify the merchants who frequently visited. Meanwhile, he himself is tasked with investigating all the merchants associated with Falmuth.
He instructs Benimaru to revise his choices for Youm’s reinforcements, while also tasking Rigurd with preparing for the grand festival. In addition to them, he delegates important assignments to other individuals.
Rimuru playfully asks Veldora to avoid causing any trouble for the others. The fourth episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 concludes with a scene in the Holy Kingdom of Lubelius, where Hinata holds a crucial gathering with her followers.
