The Acolyte May Have Already Spoiled Main Villain’s Identity

The recently released teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series may have revealed the identity of its main antagonist.

As they confront Sol’s former Padawan Mae (Amandla Stenberg), who has fallen to the Dark Side, the Acolyte will stand by Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and the rest of the Jedi Order.

Although Stenberg’s character has been established as the villain, it appears that the actress will also be playing a second role, according to a report by ComicBookMovie.com. The captions in the latest teaser trailer, as seen on X.com, reveal that Stenberg will be seen speaking as a character named Osha in certain scenes.

It has been hypothesized by CBM that Mae will not turn out to be the true antagonist of the series, but rather her twin sister Osha, who was previously Sol’s Padawan.

Despite Disney quickly removing the name from the captions, the twin theory still holds merit if one closely watches the trailer.

Mae and Sol appear to have a confrontation on a snowy mountain peak, during which she insists, “I am innocent. Please believe me.”

Despite Stenberg’s appearance in the trailer attacking Jedi and avoiding a specific lightsaber Easter egg, Mae’s denial may be rooted in her twin status and her pursuit of Osha, mirroring the actions of the Jedi Order.

Fans of Star Wars will be able to confirm the accuracy of the franchise’s new twin theory with the release of The Acolyte on June 4.
