The Bear Has a Missing Character Problem That Season 3 Could Solve

Season 3 of The Bear appears to continue the trend of being a tense family affair, potentially offering long-awaited answers about a certain character who has been missing.

Given its reputation as one of the top television shows in recent years, it’s no surprise that anticipation is building for The Bear Season 3. While there are still many unanswered questions, a potential reveal may have already been hinted at in the series trailer.

Up to this point, the details surrounding Carmy’s father have been quite unclear. It remains unknown if he is alive or what his fate may be.

Each season has featured a unique flashback episode thus far. For Season 2, this included a harrowing glimpse into the complicated dynamic between Carmy, Mikey, and Sugar and their mother Donna. As a result, it is logical to assume that Season 3 will delve into the other side of the family in its flashback episode.

After their dad was noticeably absent from the Season 2 flashback, speculation about Carmy’s father only intensified. The rest of the family was shown enjoying a Christmas dinner, leaving viewers wondering about his whereabouts. While these questions remain unanswered, some believe that he could potentially be the original founder of The Beef.

The latest trailer includes a flashback scene where Mikey and Carmy are seen discussing the concept of launching a restaurant, which ultimately becomes the primary location of the show. This could seamlessly lead into another family revelation, as their father may be shown to have been secretly orchestrating events.

As always, The Bear fans have their theories about the upcoming Season 3 episodes. One fan speculated that the Berzatto patriarch left years ago and has not returned, leaving his current status a mystery. The fan believes he is still alive and will eventually make an appearance in the show for added drama.

Another person chimed in, saying, “I assume it will be addressed in future storylines, as we see Carmy working on her relationship with Donna and potentially uncovering the reasons behind Donna’s behavior towards her children.”

“Please correct me if my recollection is incorrect, but I recall Richie referring to Carmy’s father as a deadbeat at some point. I cannot remember exactly when this was mentioned. Therefore, I presume that his father left rather than passed away. Regardless, it has been a significant amount of time since he has been gone, as Carmy has told Cicero that he does not have many memories of him,”clarified a third person.

It is still unknown who is correct – and there is a possibility that Carmy’s father will remain a mystery – but the upcoming episodes on June 27 will provide some insight.
