The Beginning After The End is going on a long hiatus, and fans aren’t happy

The popular fantasy manhwa The Beginning After The End will be taking a three-month break, causing disappointment among its fans due to the extended wait.

Despite five successful seasons, The Beginning After The End (TBATE) did not maintain its momentum with Season 6 in May 2024. Just three months into serialization, the webcomic has decided to take a long break.

Tapas Entertainment, the company responsible for the English version of TBATE, has made an official statement regarding the series’ hiatus. In their announcement, they stated that the manhwa is in need of a new art studio and as a result, they will be taking this time to relocate to a new facility.

Before this, Rise Entertainment was the studio responsible for the creation of the manhwa. However, Tapas disclosed that their differing approaches in the creative process were insurmountable, resulting in TBATE’s departure from the studio for the time being.

“Tapas clarified that despite the impressive work done by Rise Entertainment, discrepancies within the comic creation industry have hindered our ability to remain aligned with our internal timeline.”

The company expressed regret for the delay and emphasized that it was necessary for the long-term betterment of the manhwa. They stated, “We want to assure our readers that this decision was not taken lightly, but was made with the intention of ensuring the long-term sustainability of TBATE. This change is crucial in aligning production schedules and maintaining consistent, high-quality releases.”

Tapas also promised viewers that they can look forward to a plethora of exclusive previews and behind-the-scenes material to enjoy over the course of the next three months.

Despite the disappointment of avid readers of the fantasy series, they continue to eagerly await the release of The Beginning After The End after such a lengthy delay. As expressed by one fan on X, “It’s truly a shame, what should I do for those 3 months without this story to read?”

“Another person added, ‘This is happening at the best part, man!’”

Expressing their disappointment and frustration, a third individual commented on the situation, stating that the sudden hiatus after a year of improvement was difficult to handle. They suggested that the production company, Madhouse, should announce the anime as soon as possible to help fans cope with the break.

“Another person chimed in, exclaiming, “Absolutely not! I highly doubt we’ll ever see the Alacryan Games Arc, to be honest. I’ll probably be old and have children before it’s even considered for adaptation.”

The Beginning After The End is scheduled to come back in November 2024. In the meantime, explore other manhwa-inspired anime series such as Solo Leveling Season 2 and Tower of God Season 2.
