By announcing the next Campfire Chat, the developers of Diablo 4 teased the return of the vampiric powers of Season 2.
The highlight of Diablo 4 Season 2 was the introduction of vampire abilities. Fans quickly grew attached to the Minor and Major Powers, to the point that the community regretted their removal at the start of Season 3.
The loss of the Transfiguration skill was particularly painful for Necromancers who had become accustomed to its benefits. Players have therefore clearly expressed their desire to see this ability return, even in the form of an aspect or a ring.
However, a new post on Blizzard’s blog indicates that these hopes and dreams could come true sooner than expected.
Blizzard hints at the return of vampire powers in Diablo 4
In a Blizzard News post, the developer revealed its plan to host its next Diablo 4 “Campfire Chat”on Thursday, February 29 at 8:00 p.m.
To start, the chat will offer a first look at the Trials and the Gauntlet. Viewers can also expect the team to share information about balance updates and leaderboards. And, perhaps most interestingly, “bloodthirsty powers [are] ready to make a return,”the post teased.
In other words, the vampiric powers of Season 2 should reappear in a future update. However, note that Blizzard has not yet detailed the specifics.
The advent of Season 3 marked the end of Diablo 4’s vampiric powers, but players received a new feature in return: a Seneschal Construct Companion.
Season 3 got off to a rocky start, although frequent updates have improved the experience. If vampire powers do indeed make a return during Diablo 4 ‘s Construct Season, it will be interesting to see how the community receives the news.
