The Best Ending for Jujutsu Kaisen with Minimal Questions Left Unanswered

Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, has officially announced that the series will conclude in five chapters by September 30, 2024. The news was shared by Akutami on social media.

Although it appears to hold potential, it could still result in a somewhat unresolved ending for the series. There are a few lingering details that must be addressed, making it seem like a challenging feat to do so in only five chapters. However, Akutami has consistently delivered something astonishing every week.

Take a glimpse into the theory speculating the ultimate conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen.

The speculated Jujutsu Kaisen finale may be one that remains ambiguous. After Akutami’s announcement, a popular theory emerged within the fandom. Based on its convincing arguments, it is likely that the creator will use this approach to please a wide range of fans.

According to the theory, there are still four unresolved issues – the conflict between Sukuna and Yuji, the fate of Yuta/Gojo, the battle between Kinji Hakari and Uraume, and Kenjaku’s plans for the Merger. The theory predicts that Yuji will continue to challenge and ultimately defeat Sukuna in a classic Shonen Manga protagonist fashion. With the addition of his Domain, it is likely that their showdown will involve a clash of Domains, ultimately resulting in Yuji’s victory.

The theory also suggests that, since Yuji has inherited Sukuna’s techniques, he may unleash Fire Arrow or Fuga and utilize Binding Vows to defeat Sukuna once and for all. This confrontation could result in either Sukuna accepting his demise at the hands of Yuji or Sukuna becoming furious and vowing to come back and eliminate him.

Additionally, Hakari will have persisted in battling and managed to defeat Uraume off-screen. Their last appearance was in chapter 252, during which Uraume mentioned Sukuna and his decision to hold back his full strength.

Despite this, there has been no indication of their whereabouts. Keeping this in mind, it is possible that Akutami will depict Hakari as the winner before reuniting with Yuji, Todo, and Maki (who has since recovered).

Despite the uncertainties surrounding Kenjaku’s technique, the theory eventually leads to the inevitable merger. As a result, both Kenjaku and Yuta are able to return to their respective bodies. However, the merger gives rise to a monstrous creature that wreaks havoc in Shinjuku, with Yuji, Yuta, Hakari, Maki, and Todo observing from afar.

This ultimately leads to an uncertain conclusion, as the succeeding generation of Jujutsu Sorcerers, including those beyond the special grade, embark on a relentless mission to eradicate all Curses and battle the Merger Beast.

Final Thoughts

While this theory appears plausible, it may not be as straightforward as it seems, especially given Akutami’s tendencies.

Additionally, there is a potential loophole concerning Kenjaku’s return to his original body and his fate during the Merger. Similarly, Yuta’s future remains uncertain as it is unclear what will happen to him afterwards.

Although the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen may please many fans, it also has the potential to leave the story in a precarious state. Many unanswered questions that have arisen throughout the story would remain unresolved. For example, the intriguing battle between Hakari and Uraume may be hastily concluded off-screen.
