Diablo 4’s Necromancer class is back to raise the undead and wreak carnage in combat. Here’s everything you need to know to build your Necro!
The Necromancer class has always been one of the most powerful classes in Diablo, and Diablo 4 is no exception. The Necro can deal damage at long range, in area, or let his army of the dead fight for him.
With the arrival of the Season of Blood – more commonly known as Season 2 – the Necromancer can use powerful Vampiric Powers to further increase his damage, survivability and mobility.
If you’re looking to become a guardian of the balance between life and death (especially death from your enemies’ perspective), here are some of the best Necromancer builds to survive the legions of Hell in Diablo 4.

The best Necromancer builds in Diablo 4
The best endgame builds
The Necromancer is one of the classes with the greatest destructive potential in the late game. Indeed, several of its builds are capable of inflicting incredible damage in single targets, but also and especially in area.
Unfortunately, it’s also one of the classes with the poorest build diversity. While there are a few ways to play an optimized Necromancer in the late game, we are far from the immense variety that the Thief or the Druid can offer.
Here are the best Necromancer builds for the endgame (level 50-100).
Build Necromancer Bone Spear
In addition to being the most effective Necromancer build for leveling, the Bone Spear Necromancer is also one of the most powerful for the endgame.
The game plan remains the same: group together as many enemies as possible with Scavenger Tendrils then atomize everything with heavy blows from an overboosted Bone Spear.
With the good aspects and bonuses of Paragon, the Bone Lance Necromancer can notably access excellent management of his Essence, allowing him to chain together packs of monsters without the slightest downtime.
Finally, the main weakness of this build – and of the Necro in general – is its fairly poor mobility. Again, a few Aspects help out a bit, but don’t expect to be jumping around like a Thief either.

Build Necromancer “Infinimist” Blood Mist
This surprising build relies on the excellent defensive skill Blood Mist, which deals area damage while making you invulnerable. With tons of Lucky Shot synergies, the Necro “Infinimist” will seek to permanently reset Blood Mist in order to be simply invincible.
The cornerstone of the build is the Decay skill which – with the Abject Decay upgrade – will reduce the cooldown of all your non-ultimate Luck skills.
This allows the Necromancer to abuse his excellent area control skills like Scavenging Tendrils and Festering Corpse Blast.
Since Blood Mist’s delay will also be permanently reduced, you will be able to cast this skill extremely often, giving this build everything the Necromancer generally lacks: survivability and mobility.

The best builds for leveling
Build Necromancer Section – Season 2
The Necro Section is an extremely effective build for the leveling phase of Diablo 4. By chaining the main skill Section, the Necromancer can inflict colossal area damage, especially when it adds to the cacophony of the scythe the crack of the explosion of corpses.
How does the Necromancer Section work?
The Necromancer Section is a perfect summary of the Necromancer’s strengths. This build exploits the excellent base of the Section skill, and adds to that the corpse explosion mechanics but also the undead army.
It is therefore a versatile build, with excellent damage, crowd control, and even a bit of mobility which is generally so lacking in the class.

Necromancer Gameplay Section
This Necromancer build deals huge AoE damage, provided you follow a few basic rules.
- In order not to waste your resources, try to group several enemies together before using Section
- When you start spawning corpses, it becomes easy to chain together your spells to deal huge damage and powerful crowd control.
- Mowing can cause a corpse to appear under your target. Abuse it to use your corpse spells against bosses
Necromancer gameplay in Diablo 4
The Necromancer is a very complete class, capable of inflicting heavy damage in many ways.
Some builds focus on the army of the dead, resurrecting powerful minions from the corpses of fallen enemies. Other Necromancers will prefer to do without skeletal companions altogether and go to the front alone, thus benefiting from additional bonuses.
To create your army of the dead or to inflict heavy damage, you will often need to use corpses, produced by certain spells or by the death of your enemies.
On the downside, the Necromancer’s biggest weakness is undoubtedly mobility. Certain skills allow the class to move properly, but we are far from the movement festival of a class like the Thief.
