Pokémon Go players reveal the most effective methods for collecting Stardust to help those who constantly find themselves short of this valuable resource.
In Pokémon Go, players use Stardust for many reasons, but mostly to power up their Pokémon and make them stronger, evolve Pokémon into their new forms, or use them in trades, including with Pokémon Home.
The problem is that it can be easy to run out of Stardust. People who maintain a varied team or want to complete the Pokédex will quickly deplete their limited reserves of Stardust, especially since you don’t get much from capturing wild Pokémon.

Fans flocked to the thread to offer helpful tips for gathering Stardust.

“GO Battle League gives a lot of Stardust, capture everything, take advantage of Featured Hours (or other events) which give twice as much Stardust upon capture,” one user advised, “I also strengthen Pokémon only when I need it for Raids or LCG.”
“Ok I read all the comments, really good advice here, the only thing I will add is some specific Pokémon to capture as soon as you see them in the wild. These Pokémon give more Stardust than usual,” said one user, “Trompignon (500) – Paris (500) – Meowth (500) – Kokiyas (1000) – Miamiasm (750) – Apitrini (750) – Tenefix (750) – Nanméouïe (2100 aka jackpot, difficult to capture though).”
“I’m in the millions because most of my best Pokémon are all boosted, I play a lot, and I frequently throw berries into gyms to get rid of them in exchange for Stardust,” one player wrote, while Another said, “Self-capturer. It does the work for you while you work/walk and you can store Stardust.”

It can be easy to spend Stardust on daily Field Research missions, as many of them require you to strengthen Pokémon to get through them. The secret to Stardust in Pokémon Go is knowing when to spend it, as not everything needs to be strengthened.
