The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

Out of the twelve weapons that can be found in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, there are a select few that stand out as the top performers. These five weapons have proven to be the cream of the crop, with some of them even requiring immediate adjustments to maintain balance. However, there are also some weapons that are performing well as they are. Without further ado, let’s dive into the list.

The Best Weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Without access to the complete beta weapon selection, it is difficult to determine if the current top-performing weapons will remain in that position. However, at present, using any gun not included on this list will put you at a disadvantage. This is particularly evident with weapons like the Jackal PDW, a staple in Black Ops 6.

#1: Jackal PDW

Regardless of your loadout, chosen perks, or skill level, the Jackal PDW will give you a significant advantage in gunfights compared to any other weapon in the game. This is due to several factors.

  • It has a consistent, short time to kill
  • It’s easy to control with a predictable recoil pattern
  • Has all the benefits of being an SMG, including fast movement and attachments
  • It outshoot ARs out to medium distance

It is my belief that the Jackal requires a significant nerf, as it currently resembles the overpowered AK-74u from Black Ops 1, which poses a major issue.

The Black Ops 6 XM4, also known as the M4A1, may not match the performance of the Jackal PDW, but it comes in a close second. With good control, it can deal significant damage at longer ranges. Its recoil and damage profile are also impressive. However, it does not offer the same movement speed or hipfire accuracy as an SMG. If you prefer a weapon that is more versatile at longer distances, the XM4 is a reliable choice.

#3: C9

The C9/MP5 is not the Jackal PDW, but it is still a viable weapon option. While it may not match up to its sleeker counterpart in terms of performance, it is still superior to most other guns in the game. With a similar fire rate and about 90% of the Jackal’s capabilities, the C9 can be an effective choice for players looking for something different or completing camo challenges. While it may have a bit more recoil, with the right loadout and minor adjustments to one’s gameplay, the C9 can dominate in lobbies. However, it may not always come out on top in a direct confrontation with the Jackal.

#4: LR 7.62

In Black Ops 6, the LR 7.62 is a high-powered Sniper Rifle that closely resembles the L96A1 from the original Black Ops game, but its functionality is more similar to the DSR 50 from Black Ops 2. This means that it is capable of a one-shot kill from the middle-chest up, and is even more effective as a shotgun than the actual shotgun available in the game. Furthermore, Sniper Rifles are user-friendly due to their accuracy through aim punch, allowing players to win long-range gunfights even if their opponent gets on-target first. Additionally, players can equip the Overkill Wildcard to have a Jackal PDW as a backup weapon, eliminating any disadvantage in close-range combat.

#5: Ames 85

The XM4 is often regarded as the top assault rifle in Black Ops 6, but the Ames stands out for its exceptional accuracy. It has a similar feel to the ACR from MW2 (2009), but with a bit more recoil. However, the recoil is still manageable and those with good aim can easily take down enemies from long distances. It may not have the fastest fire rate or the best hipfire performance, but with strategic play, the Ames can be a formidable weapon in the game. Despite these slight limitations, it is still considered one of the top weapons in the game.

During the beta period, these are my top five favorite weapons in Black Ops 6. As the final version of the game is released, new players are bound to emerge at the top of the rankings and you will probably need to utilize a variety of weapons to unlock attachments, camos, and other rewards.
