What led to Kugo Ginjo’s betrayal of Ichigo Kurosaki in the manga series? The betrayal was a result of the Soul Society’s surveillance of Kugo Ginjo.

As a Fullbringer, Kugo Ginjo possessed the rare ability to manipulate spiritual energy found in all forms of physical matter, making him a spiritually aware human. He had first discovered this power when a Hollow attacked his mother, leaving remnants of the energy within him, which he then inherited.

Kugo was bestowed the title of the first Substitute Shinigami in the Bleach series. To mark this significant event, he was granted a Substitute Shinigami badge. However, little did he know that the badge was actually a tool utilized by the Soul Society for surveillance purposes. Despite this, he still took on the role of mentoring a fellow Fullbringer.

As the story progressed, he came to the realization that the badge bestowed upon him was not only a means for the Soul Society to monitor him, but also to restrict his abilities.

In a fit of rage, he killed people in an attempt to absorb more power from the targeted Shinigami. Eventually, he formed an organization called Xcution and gathered a large group of Fullbringers in the human world. However, he ultimately betrayed Ichigo in an effort to claim his latent Shinigami powers.

Tsukishima’s Fullbring had been used to manipulate him and portray him as the main antagonist. This was all part of a plan to enhance Ichigo’s Fullbring powers. The ultimate goal was to obtain Ichigo’s abilities and bolster their own.

Kugo Ginjo’s Involvement in Bleach

Despite being enraged by the actions of the Soul Society, Kugo Ginjo attempted to betray Ichigo. However, in the end, he found redemption despite everything that had transpired.

After his death in the series, he was transported to the Soul Society. He and Tsukishima eventually paid their debt to Ichigo. In the end, the protagonist of the series was defeated by Yhwach in a battle.

He required his Bankai to be fixed, and that’s when Orihime collaborated with Tsukishima and Kugo Ginjo to accomplish the task. Despite facing numerous obstacles, he ultimately made the correct decision and obtained the redemption he had earned.
