The Blackbeard Pirates’ Plans in One Piece May Have Been Ruined by Saint Saturn’s Death

Despite its scheduled release date of September 9, 2024, spoilers for One Piece chapter 1125 have already been revealed. The crew had worked hard to steal Saturn’s identity, but it now proved to be useless. This aligns with their history of unsuccessful endeavors and lack of contingency plans.

In the 1107th chapter of One Piece, the arrival of the Giants on Egghead Island marked a turning point in the battle against the dominant World Government, who had the powerful Saint Saturn on their side. To add to this, Luffy was also given food, which revitalized the Straw Hat Pirates and allowed him to rejoin the fight.

Luffy utilized his Gear 5’s Gomu-Gomu no Dawn Gatling to propel Saint Saturn towards the bay of Egghead Island. Despite being buried under rubble, Saturn was soon approached by Catarina Devon and Van Augur. The two taunted him for being defeated by a mere pirate crew. As they conversed, Catarina slyly approached Saturn and made contact with his leg, indicating the success of their mission.

Afterward, they departed with the sole purpose of reaching Saint Saturn, as Catarina’s devil fruit, the Dog-Dog devil fruit (Model: Nine-Tailed Fox), granted her the power to mimic the appearance of others, including their attire. It is speculated that this may have been Marshall D. Teach’s strategy to infiltrate the sacred land of Mariejois. However, his attempt was unsuccessful, as revealed in the spoilers for One Piece chapter 1125.

Based on the most recent spoilers for the latest chapter, it has been revealed that Saint Saturn met his demise on Egghead Island, leaving him as the sole remaining member of the Gorosei. As a result, Garling Figarland has taken his place as the newest member. With the death of Saint Saturn, the Blackbeard Pirates’ plans have once again been thwarted.

Despite the fact that there is little chance of the World Government announcing the death of Saint Saturn, the other pirates could still be intimidated by his identity. However, Marshall D. Teach’s original plan to infiltrate the Holy Land of Mariejois is now no longer feasible, as hinted in the upcoming chapter.

Despite facing criticism in the past, it is clear that Eiichiro Oda has a purpose in mind for the failures of the Blackbeard Pirates. The notorious crew is known for their strategic tactics, as seen in their successful theft of Law’s fruit on Wiener Island and Hancock’s fruit on Amazon Lily.

Despite Blackbeard’s repeated failures, as witnessed by fans, his plans leave no margin for error. This is evident in his unsuccessful attempts to steal the devil fruits of Law and Hancock, as well as being defeated by Bepo’s Sulong form and Rayleigh. These past failures only serve to heighten the anticipation for something significant that the author may have in store for Blackbeard.
