In The Boys Season 5, Ashley is preparing for a significant change. Although she will certainly become stronger, her abilities may also be a bit “humiliating.”
The conclusion of The Boys Season 4 raised many unresolved inquiries: where have Hughie and the rest of the team been transported to, is Butcher’s condition still deteriorating, and how will Ryan handle the loss of that individual?
Significantly, Ashley’s situation took a turn for the worse. Following Homelander’s public revelation of Victoria Neuman, he requested that she compile a list of Vought employees who possessed incriminating information on the Seven; he even referred to her as a “good girl.”
Despite this, The Deep still insisted that Ashley be added to the hit list as she was the one who knew the most about their misdeeds.
Luckily, Ashley overheard the conversation and was prepared with insurance – an emergency dose of Compound V (known to be much more hazardous than Temp V) that causes her scalp to painfully ripple and bubble. To everyone’s surprise, she did not make an appearance for the remainder of the finale.
According to star Colby Minifie, Season 5 will see her return in a diabolical (and embarrassing) way.
“According to the show’s depiction, when V initially infiltrates your body, it is absorbed into your bloodstream and begins to affect your blood and ultimately take control of your entire body,”she clarified to Variety.
“We are foreshadowing that something significant will occur. The outcome of whether she lives or dies remains unknown, but I have suggested some ideas for her potential superpower, all of which are embarrassing. I am uncertain of what the final decision will be or how it will be executed, but it will undoubtedly be something outrageous.”
