The Boys Fans Compare Firecracker & Starlight Brawl to Another Bloody Superhero Fight

In The Boys Season 4 Episode 4, the rivalry between Starlight and Firecracker, who have a long history, reaches a chaotic point. As Firecracker takes on her first live rally, both sides are forced to confront their secrets that come to light.

Firecracker not only manages to stay ahead of the scandal surrounding her past indiscretion of sleeping with a 15-year-old boy, but she also uncovers Starlight’s most intimate secrets by accessing her previous medical records, which reveal that Starlight had undergone an abortion.

Upon witnessing Starlight’s murderous rage, she immediately charges towards Firecracker on stage, resulting in a violent and bloody brawl of fists where Firecracker is unable to defend herself.

Fans couldn’t resist drawing parallels between the latest episode of The Boys and the intense showdown between Invincible and Omni-Man in the Season 1 finale of Invincible. In the scene, Omni-Man mercilessly pummels his own son, resulting in Mark’s face being unrecognizable due to the excessive bloodshed.

It is difficult to watch both scenes due to the excessive amount of blood, as well as the realistic sound effects of flesh squelching and bones breaking.

On X/Twitter, a fan posted a video of the scene from Invincible with the caption “Starlight to Firecracker.”

Some individuals also remarked that Firecracker received an appropriate consequence, as Starlight would have eventually ended her life if Mother’s Milk had not intervened.

“Another person suggested that she should have been more ruthless, similar to Omni-Man.”

According to fans of The Boys, one third of them also agree with the statement made by one fan, “@SkarletPhoenix,”who mentioned, “Although Starlight may have fallen into the trap, she cannot be considered weak or incapable of fighting, unlike Firecracker who appeared to be struggling.”

Upon further inspection, it became evident that Sister Sage was aware of the potential trap and its intended outcome. By orchestrating the events, she was able to achieve two goals at once: tarnishing Starlight’s reputation and humbling Firecracker.

The first four episodes of The Boys Season 4 are now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, discover all of the upcoming TV series arriving on streaming platforms this month.
