The highly anticipated Boys Season 4 Episode 5 is almost here, and fans have reason to be thrilled. The promo has revealed that the first major Gen V crossover will take place.
It was previously known that Gen V falls within the timeline of the flagship series, occurring between Season 3 and Season 4. Furthermore, the trailer verified the reappearance of Cate and Sam after the events of the Gen V finale.
The promo for the next episode of The Boys has been released, confirming that their cameos will be featured.
In the video, Homelander can be observed delivering a speech to The Seven, furthering Sister Sage’s grand scheme to Restore America’s Superpowers.
Despite the significant amount of violence in Season 4 Episode 3, it appears that this will persist as Homelander declares to the supes that they must carry out unspeakable actions in the name of the greater good, as he announces a full-scale war.
As for The Seven’s members, they are accompanied by none other than Cate and Sam. And we mustn’t overlook Tek Knight, known for his promiscuity, who stands beside Sage.

Despite their efforts to prevent the massacre at Godolkin, Marie, Jordan, Andre, and Emma were imprisoned and falsely accused of the crime, as we recall from the end of Gen V.
In the meantime, Vought appointed Sam and Cate as the university’s new guardians. Although their specific role in The Boys Season 4 remains uncertain, the promotional material hints at Homelander’s desire to enlist their aid in his grand scheme.
The Gen V X/Twitter account posted the promotion, stating, “An update on Sam and Cate will be coming soon.”
It’s fair to assume that fans are eagerly anticipating, as one fan expressed on Twitter by stating, “Oh how I missed my troubled children.”
“One person stated, “I will be there no matter what,”while another expressed their excitement to see them. A third individual shared a screenshot of Tek Knight and captioned it with, “We won, he’s back.”A fourth person also added their enthusiasm for the return of Tek Knight.”
However, this is not the sole Gen V reference, as Butcher later reveals to The Boys in the promo that he has “discovered the solution”- the supe virus.
Obtaining it appears to be a difficult task, as the gang is seen fighting a farm full of V’ed up animals.
Will they succeed in avoiding the virus? The answer will be revealed when Episode 5 is released on Prime Video on Thursday, June 27.
