The previous two seasons of The Boys have included appearances from several notable actors from Supernatural, and the upcoming Season 5 will mark the final crossover cameo between the two shows.
Eric Kripke, the creator of Prime Video’s popular series The Boys, previously created Supernatural, which ran from 2006 to 2020 and was the longest-running show on The CW.
Despite the passage of time, Kripke has successfully combined his two highly acclaimed shows, as evident by the inclusion of several prominent actors from Supernatural making guest appearances on The Boys.
According to Deadline, Jared Padalecki has confirmed that he will be making an appearance in the upcoming fifth season of The Boys. This cameo will mark the final Supernatural crossover on the Prime Video series. When asked about his involvement, Padalecki replied with a definitive, “The answer is yes.”
Padalecki elaborated by saying, “We have discussed a potential role. In fact, we even spoke about it today. At this stage of my acting career, I am selective with the projects I take on and the people I work with. Eric and I have a strong and everlasting connection that I hold dear.”
“He’s the one who brought forth Supernatural and its characters, like Sam Winchester and Ruby (played by Genevieve Padalecki), whom I eventually wed and started a family with,”he expressed. “I have great admiration for him and his wit, as well as his ability to craft a compelling story. Although filming for Season 5 may not begin until next year, I am eagerly anticipating his call and will be ready to fly out whenever he needs me.”
The actor may also be reunited with Supernatural co-stars Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan if they participate in The Boys Season 5.
Ackles took on the role of Soldier Boy in Season 3, portraying Homelander’s biological father and the first Superman-like weapon created by Vought International.
Morgan is currently playing the role of CIA operative Joe Kessler in Season 4 of The Boys. He portrays Billy Butcher’s former military comrade and serves as a foil to The Boys. However, his offer to assist Butcher’s cause raises suspicions about his true intentions.
Ackles and Padalecki acted as Morgan’s sons on Supernatural, making their cameos a potential family reunion for fans.
Nevertheless, it remains uncertain if the trio will ever appear together, given that Solider Boy is currently in a coma and Kessler’s true intentions have yet to be exposed. There is no way to predict if he will even survive until Season 5.
Despite the slim possibility of Padalecki, Ackles, and Morgan appearing together on screen again, fans of Supernatural can take comfort in the fact that they will have one final opportunity to see their beloved characters before The Boys concludes.
