The Controversial Dominance of the Pay to Win SMG in Warzone

There is a recently released SMG in Warzone that some Call of Duty players believe to be “pay to win.”This is because the weapon’s new iron sights provide a much clearer view for players, making it seem “broken”according to one expert.

As Call of Duty has delved further into the realm of in-game stores, recent installments have faced challenges with problematic weapons, skins, and other extras that were not intended to provide players with an edge, but ultimately do.

The presence of ‘pay-to-win’ items has caused chaos, particularly in Warzone. The MAC-10 Gallantry blueprint and blackout Roze skin are memorable examples that players will not soon forget.

According to Warzone specialist JoeWo, there is currently another “pay to win”weapon in the battle royale known as the Poisoned Caress BlackCell blueprint for the AMR9, which can be obtained through the Season 4 battle pass.

Similarly, Joe also noted the Bone Structure blueprint for the DG-58, which enhances the already formidable SMG by providing a more distinct set of iron sights.

“In his June 17 video, the YouTuber noted that the AMR9 iron sights are incredibly overpowered. This is the primary issue with the weapon, as its iron sights are likely the most subpar in Call of Duty history unless you have access to this specific blueprint.”

  • Muzzle: ZEHM35 Compensated Flash Hider
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop
  • Stock: JAK Cut Throat
  • Rear Grip: Phantom Grip
  • Magazine: 50-round mag

Since this is a BlackCell blueprint, you will need to spend a bit more than the usual battle pass, making it not just pay to win but also quite expensive.

If this issue continues to spread, it’s best not to dismiss the possibility that the developers may slightly decrease the effectiveness of the iron sights. Therefore, if you end up missing out in the future, it will be unfortunate.
