YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK will come back and have a world tour in 2025.

Despite having their own companies and just concluding their BORN PINK world tour in September 2023, the news of Yang Hyun Suk confirming BLACKPINK’s return in 2025 for a world tour was met with shock on social media. Fans were taken aback as the idea of the group coming back so soon seemed inconceivable.

The international fan community is excited about BLACKPINK’s comeback announcement in 2025.

Despite the announcement of Yang Hyun Suk’s plan for a world tour involving BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, AKMU, and 2NE1 in 2025, many fans are doubtful of its feasibility. The inclusion of a new rookie group, “Next Monster,”only adds to their skepticism. Some speculate that the news may simply be a ploy to boost YG’s stock prices in the face of bankruptcy threats.

Currently, over six months have elapsed and only Lisa from BLACKPINK has made a solo comeback with ROCKSTAR, despite all four members having their own companies. Additionally, Lisa has announced her plans for a solo album in 2024. As a result, for the remainder of the year, the BLACKPINK members will prioritize their individual endeavors and fulfill their promise to fans by releasing solo albums.

In order for BLACKPINK to embark on a world tour in 2025, YG must release another full album for the group. This is essential as the four global girls cannot use the same setlist from their previous BORN PINK world tour for their next tour.

Despite their hectic individual schedules, it remains a daunting task for both YG and BLACKPINK. Both the members and the management company must carefully coordinate their schedules and fully commit to group activities in 2025. This presents a considerable challenge and has led to skepticism among many, who are doubtful of YG’s intentions and will only believe their promises when a poster is released.

Despite YG’s announcement, BLACKPINK fans remain skeptical for valid reasons. Throughout their seven years under the company, the group has only put out 2 full albums, 5 mini albums, and a total of 33 Korean songs. This pales in comparison to other top-tier K-pop girl groups and is far less than the extensive discography of groups like BTS (218 songs) and TWICE (132 songs).

Despite being a junior group, TREASURE, aespa, and NewJeans have produced more products than YG has for BLACKPINK. This is why it is extremely difficult to bring the four members, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, together for a group project, especially since they have all established their own companies.

Despite everything, the fan community of BLACKPINK continues to have faith in Yang Hyun Suk’s unwavering promises. They remain hopeful that after a year of absence and YG’s declining stock prices, the company will fulfill their promise and bring back the four global girls in 2025, creating a sensational impact.
