The cost of YouTube TV will be increasing.

When it was originally released in 2017, YouTube TV had a starting price of merely $35 per month; however, that amount has steadily increased over the course of the past several years. It is currently becoming an even greater financial burden.

The most recent hike in pricing occurred in 2020, when YouTube TV costing $49 per month to $65 per month. On the other hand, this growth occurred simultaneously with the launch of networks owned by Viacom and CBS (now Paramount Global). Because of this, the service now includes Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, TV Land, and other networks, which helps explain the price rise – at least for those individuals who desired to receive the additional channels. Recent changes to YouTube TV include the addition of the NFL Sunday Ticket, although the service no longer offers the MLB Network.

Recent months have seen significant price increases for a variety of TV streaming services, including Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, and others, as major media conglomerates compete for more expensive distribution agreements. At this stage, traditional cable companies could offer more reasonable packages depending on the channels and sporting events that are of particular interest to you. It’s possible that you won’t need anything more than a TV antenna, which doesn’t require a membership fee or payment every month.

The good news is that YouTube is decreasing the price of its 4K Plus add-on, which enables users to stream videos in 4K resolution, watch an unlimited number of videos at the same time from their own homes, and access DVR recordings offline for certain material. It used to cost an additional $19.99 per month, but starting immediately, the cost will just be $9.99 per month.
