Even though the Black Clover anime has ended some time ago, fans still have vivid memories of the Dark Triad group, who caused turmoil in the Clover, Diamond, and Heart Kingdoms.
Despite being active for a considerable amount of time, the Dark Triad group in Black Clover made a sudden surge of aggressive actions towards the end of the Heart Kingdom Join-Struggle Arc. So, who exactly are they?
The Dark Triad, a group of powerful mages, had taken control of the Spade Kingdom by utilizing their unique abilities granted by the Highest-ranking Devils, overthrowing the Grinberryall family’s reign.

Understanding the Dark Triad Group in Black Clover
The Spade Kingdom was governed by the Dark Triad, a trio of influential mages. These three individuals, Dante, Vanica, and Zenon Zogratis, were siblings and served as hosts to the most powerful devils, including Lucifero, Megicula, and Beelzebub.
Employing these abilities, they seized control of the Spade Kingdom from the ruling House Grinberryall. Afterward, they assumed command of the country and enslaved its inhabitants to serve as energy suppliers for the kingdom’s roaming fortresses.
During the Dark Triad’s reign, the Spade Kingdom successfully conquered a large portion of the Diamond Kingdom and began making preparations to invade their neighboring countries, including the Heart and Clover Kingdoms. It was during this time that they also put their plan in motion to recreate the Tree of Qliphoth.
The Tree of Qliphoth served as a magical conduit, enabling the devils from the depths of the underworld to access the surface world. This allowed the most powerful devils to emerge on the surface and fully manifest the Dark Triad’s formidable powers.
To complete their mission, they needed access to both World Tree Magic and Dark Magic. However, these types of magic were only wielded by two Magic Knight Captains – Willaim Vangeance and Yami Sukehiro. As a result, members of the Dark Triad, Dante and Zenon, launched an attack on the Clover Kingdom and successfully captured both captains.
Each Dark Triad member’s abilities in Black Clover
Dante Zogratis, the oldest member of the Dark Triad, was initially granted the power of Body Magic. This magic attribute granted him the ability to control his bodily tissues, resulting in near-infinite healing capabilities.
In terms of his Devil abilities, he possessed Lucifero’s Gravity Magic, which granted him the power to control gravity. Among the most formidable incantations were “Presence of the Demon King”and “Gravity Singularity.”
Vanica Zogratis, the second member, had the innate ability of Blood Magic, which enabled her to create and control blood. She primarily utilized this power to summon Red Beasts.
In regards to her devil powers, she possessed Megicula’s Curse-Warding Magic, a magic attribute that granted her the ability to cast powerful curses. She frequently utilized this skill on Acier Silva and Lolopechka, inflicting life-threatening curses upon them.
The youngest member of the group, Zenon Zogratis, originally had Bone Magic as his magic attribute. This ability enabled him to create and control bones, making it highly adaptable. With this power, he was able to defeat numerous enemies in a matter of seconds.
His devil powers were derived from Beelzebub’s Spatial Magic, making him the most powerful user of Spatial Magic in the series.
The Dark Triad’s Ultimate Fates
Despite their immense power, the Dark Triad members were ultimately defeated by the Magic Knights. Dante Zogratis was vanquished by Magna Swing, Vanica Zogratis fell to Noelle Silva, and Zenon Zogratis was overcome by Yuno Grinberryall.
Despite this, it is possible that all three members are still alive since they were last seen in Lucius Zogratis’s hideout. They were encased in orbs composed of intertwined branches that sprouted from Lucius’s throne. By utilizing his siblings’ magical abilities, Lucius was able to revive and bring back individuals.
